Not sure...but I've read from numerous places that the league already said he can't...he will just remain a FA. Not sure if theres a rule or something, not sure.

You declare for a draft. You do not like the team that drafted you. You say Im not signing with that team. Im reentering the draft next year to see if I get drafted by a better team. Imagine the can of worms that would open.

Well, he did say that "after" he was denied from pulling out due to his circumstance and at least being placed in the supplemental draft. Kind of crappy since he was projected as a first rounder, then fell all the way out of a nice guaranteed payday due to Police questioning.

He's visiting a ton of teams now. I don't get why we didn't just lock him up with a 7th round pick...

I heard on Sirius NFL radio that if he had been drafted, he could hold out and then enter the 2016 draft. However since he was undrafted, he can no longer be draft eligible in the future. So drafting him in the 7th would have created a situation where he could just sit out a year and then get drafted higher next year. That's why I think it was a miscalculation by his agent to tell the 32 teams that he would not sign if drafted after the 3rd. He was trying to push someone into taking him on day 2, but it backfired and now his only path is to sign cheap for 3 years. Had his agent not said that, someone may have taken a late round flier on him and given him draft eligibility for 2016.

Yep, should fire that agent, he should have known no team would use a high draft pick on a guy that could end up in prison.

Collins would play guard... He'd be replacing Foster. Sure, he's tackle capable, but I don't think that would be his best position in the NFL.

Unfortunately for the Gilbert haters, he's not going anywhere for a while. The only starting roster spot on the OL up for grabs is Foster's LG spot. Or if they move DD there, then RG. Any of the back up spots in my mind should be up for grabs though. If Villanueva beats out Adams, then cool. If not, I'm not losing any sleep over it.

Saw Collins conference in Dallas. Man... I hope the Steelers at least gave this guy a phone call or offer... something. He sounds like a man on a mission to be the best.

You know damn well that it's a bigger local market and has a substantial fan base. Which was probably pointed out by Jerry Jones and his henchmen to him and his agent regarding how much he could make outside the salary in marketing dollars.

How much you want to bet that he signs a nice lucrative deal locally soon? (soon, meaning at a time Jerry can arrange it to look legit)

Not sure where Collins is from, but if he is from Louisiana, the Cowboys are close enough he can go back and forth for the investigation, etc fairly easy. That may have been a factor, just a guess on my part. They have a great offensive line and I'm sure that was a selling point, plus they are a big media covered team. Jerry probably offered some legal counsel help I'm sure.

Actually I think Jerry took him on a tour of the facilities, right past the where the cheerleaders were practicing and the contract was signed right there.

I think if I am truly gifted and have a choice
of where i could play, I think I would choose a warm weather climate and be close to family and friends. Looks like the kid, did just that.
