Steelers Select WR Sammie Coates In The 3rd Round

End zone it is... He needs some polishing but he seems to be really tough, blocks well and has made some interesting circus catches in college.. He is no slouch either on special teams

 

Don't know if anyone mentioned it but I watched a video about Sammie and how he is a friend and mentor to a little girl with cancer. Not sure on how to post a link but it's called Sammies Strength. If you have a minute and don't mind shedding a tear...check it out on YouTube.

 

I think these athletes are really special when they do things like this. I had a friend who's brother was befriended by a major league pitcher while he was battling a rare genetic disease which he ultimately lost to. The pitcher was genuinely involved and still continues a relationship with the family even after his loss.

I keep meaning to go get tested for bone marrow donation. This kind of stuff makes me feel like I'm not doing enough.

 

I can't remember where I read it. I read it at some point after he was drafted by the Steelers. I've looked again and don't see anything else about him lazy, must have just been one guys opinion.
