2015 NFL Draft Discussion Thread [No Steelers Spoilers]

Freaking Bennett is still out there. He's a 2nd round talent still sitting there waiting to be snatched up. We need depth make the pick!

 

Yes, my thoughts as well. Paulson, Palmer, Blanchflower etc. I was hoping they would avoid the position this year in the draft and spend a high pick on one next year once and for all. Could have gotten Cameron Clear as an UDFA (probably) and not lose anything in the blocking game.

Big target in the red zone I guess.

 

I thought they were gonna go with Bennett,must be a reason he is falling. We need someone to boot Cam Thomas off the field and team.

Bennett has missed a lot of time with Injuries. He needed to answer some of those durability questions. And the fact that he pulled up after 5 strides in his 40yd run, and hasn't worked out since does not help make a case for him.

 

Like Liam Neeson said in the movie Taken," the Steelers draft is no time for a "Dick" lebeau measuring contest" or something to that effect.

 

I haven't heard about any character or injury issues with him. It's odd that he's still available.

 

Who was the other OSU guy - Noah Spence. Suspended IIRC but not sure what for. He'll probably be an UDFA.

Actually, the more I read the more I like the James pick. Nearly everyone thinks he came out too early and that he hasn't filled out yet. They all seem to think his best ball is ahead of him. He ran a 4.8 at combine, but a 4.6 at his pro day. Could really be a monster after a couple years of seasoning.

WR DeMornay Pierson-El is the Husker to watch this year. Great kick returner too, would be a nice addition to the BNG in two years hopefully..

Me to. I mean I remember two years ago, I was yelling for the Steelers to take the HUGE TE from UCLA in Joseph Fauria. Cause we desperately needed a Red Zone target. And James is as tall as Fauria...only with a better Vertical, better agility times, and much stronger. And Fauria was a undrafted find for Detroit.


So I agree sir...nothing wrong with this kid. I mean I KNOW a whole LOT of people wanted to get " Jesse James "......' Dead or Alive "
