We went 3-1 without Ben...I'm sure that we can go 2-1 without Bell. We have to shore up our defense and have another great draft. Don't forget the undrafted free agents that we always find a diamond in the ruff. I feel better already. I think I'm gonna start a crusade of steelers fans...and after we play renegade... And chant Go Steelers Go...we will began a chant of....BEAT roger goodell! We will win in spite of him. Its on...US AGAINST THE comissioner

I think we'll win one of those 3 games.
I really don't mean to be all gloom & doom but our schedule could turn the biggest optimist into a pessimist. I love these guys I hope we win every game. I'll still love them if we lose every game- though I know that's not going to happen. But really- can anyone HONESTLY say that we're going to get to the playoffs this season?

Can you "HONESTLY" say that we are not? The games are played for a reason. They are what determines the winner. In 08 we had a brutal schedule and went 12-4 and won the Super Bowl. The fact that our schedule is "harder" this year could be argued as a favorable thing if you look at how we've recently done business. We get up for the good teams and come out flat against the bad ones. Maybe the fact that we are playing a supposedly harder schedule might actually work to our advantage.

I see nothing to indicate we'll take a step back from last season. I believe we can only improve.
So the answer for me is YES!!!

I like the tougher schedule, keep them from resting on their laurels. They will win 10+ games, no less. Hoping for 12.

It's a tad early for predictions. Usually how the draft plays out, spring practices, later FA signings, camp, injuries, preseason games, and some other stuff needs to happen before you can get a relatively good feel for how the season might go. Now, I'm generally an optimist, and I can think of some reasons why we might have a strong season. Obviously I hope we do.

Playing devil's advocate- I've not seen anything to indicate that the team as a whole will be better this year, so I can see the argument for a tougher schedule resulting in fewer wins.

The two teams with the best shot to play the pats in the Thursday night opener will probably be the broncos or ravens, since the pats had such a close game against the rats in a 35-31 win in the divisional round, so that matchup seems to be the best possibility: The Pats smoked the colts so bad in the AFCC game,45-7, it's unlikely the colts will draw the season opener, but the broncos would be interesting as well with another Brady Manning matchup, and I'll bet you the steelers wont go 0-3 this season no matter who they draw in their first 3 games...

And that will mean nothing to some around here if they dont win every preseason game and go 23-0. You know the importance that some people place on preseason wins.;)

Actually, we're the only playoff team from last season that the Pats play at home next season. They don't even play the Ravens. If you look at the Pats' 2015 opponents, it looks like we're the only logical choice.

LOL! Well since we are playing in the HOF game wouldn't it mean we'd have to go 24-0?

gee, shouldn't we wait to see when the real schedule comes out to decide what their record will be?

I'd be surprised if the league scheduled them this way. And I suspect the Pats opening opponent will be sexy Rexy and his new look Buffalo Bills. But if by some chance they do open this way. I'd go 1-2 over 0-3 w/o Bell.
