I like both but there are also a ton of wr's I wouldn't mind us taking. ty Montgomery may not be a flashy guy but he's tough as nails in the later rounds. he keeps dropping so we may have a shot later on him. I definitely don't want us to neglect offense this year. we definitely can still add some more firepower. I also like the two guys we have in waiting in Goodwin and Washington.

I saw something interesting, Mayock has Rollins and Alex Carter listed as his #4 and #5 safeties respectively.

Could this mean he's heard that a lot of teams consider them safeties? If so, how does this affect their stock?

I like the idea for both guys myself.

On nfl's site it says this about Carter: Physical cornerback who's at his best when he's able to see the play develop in front of him rather than having to lock down a target as a man-to-man cover corner. Carter's ability to tackle and play the ball in space should interest zone defenses, but a transition to safety might make sense if he can carry a bit more weight.

I'm assuming with Rollins, that 40 time has some teams wondering.

    Thoughts?

Being in ACC Country I would prefer Darren Waller Ga. Tech WR over Coates in later rds. Staying in the ACC theme I like Max Valles for UVA. He's a 6th-udfa and that's fine. He has the size & quickness but just raw and unpolished. He be a starter......in a couple years.

    My thoughts are this....
Alex does what we do, zone coverage, good tackler, run support.
In three years Rollins will be a good cover corner, better than Alex.
If I was going to move corner to safety it would be Rowe.
RD1 Shane Ray or Nate Orchard
    RD2 Alex Carter
    RD3 Eric Rowe

I wonder what the FO's stance is on Josh Shaw. He's another guy who is a CB/S tweener. I haven't really seen any of his games from two years ago. I guess the visit list will tell us.

What an odd story that was this past year. Saving a drowning cousin is a new one to me as an alibi.

That would be odd. Cap casualty for a guy that makes less than a million per year. You think he would be too expensive to re-sign as our 3rd WR?

if he is indeed our 3rd wr. we don't know that yet. again a lot of unknown about certain positions. we can assume, but we haven't seen a lot yet of a full season of starting by several guys. it goes with the territory when young guys are thrust into positions in a rebuild. when some of your vet leadership is guys like DHB, will allen, spaeth, moats, and a few others, we have to assume a lot. :smiley1::cool:

WR Sammie Coates, TE Cameron Clear, and G Quinton Spain are visiting today. Coates and Clear were added to the list last week when their camps announced the visits.

i've seen clear listed as a tackle and a TE. most list him at 277 and i have seen where he had gone up to the 280's or better. i wonder what we will do with him. AV is also supposedly put some good weight on. two new longer leaner tackles maybe?

If they take a WR in the 2nd, I will boycott this team. We have so many bigger needs elsewhere.

Where is Quinton Spain from? What's his story? I still think we will be looking for a LG in this draft

West Virginia. I've seen him in a couple 2014 games. He's got some mechanics issues, but he's versatile. He's likely a 7th rounder or UDFA. Here are his pro day numbers:

    Height 6040
    Weight 330
    10-Yard 1.78
    40-Yard 4.97
    Bench Shuttle 4.62
    Vertical 29”
    3-Cone 7.71
