But he can play special teams and he's cheap. If they draft a rookie WR he can be the 5th WR, and there's no pressure to hurry and get him on the field.

No doubt. It's like shopping at Goodwill on half off days. I am surprised he even agreed to the deal.

I'm getting worried. I think the local PD needs to do a wellness check. He may have celebrated the signing a little too hard...

He went MIA for a while after that whole Redman blunder. Hope he's ok though.

There are people in the Steel City Mafia facebook group ripping people who make this point. I don't understand why anyone is flipping out when it was a no risk deal for a veteran who provides depth and solid support on special teams. This one clown kept saying "where are your facts to back it up?!"

I think DHB is a good fit for our 4-5th receiver. There are quite a few around here that are hung up on how much the Steelers spend and that a player signed at the "vet min" is a good singing just because it is at the "vet min"

Yeah, for all of my teasing of PWP about his love of DHB, I agree that he's a good guy to have around at that kind of price tag. However, I also wouldn't keep him hanging around instead of a new young guy who shows big potential in camp. For that reason, the vet minimum deal is particularly good if there's little or no money guaranteed.

Draws coverage away for AB, can burn green like no other, cost pennies, and they could get rid of him in days if need be. What in the world is the problem?

Reward out weighs the risk. Good sign.

All good they doubled price of my Internet no warning , I cancelled. Great signing I had no doubt . I see a good future for DHB here with the Steelers. A full camp with Ben I expect he will contribute more than last season .

Given a guy a one-year contract isn't the biggest vote of confidence?

I was invited down to tour their new facilities on the south side when it first opened. It was pretty cool. You and all else would have really enjoyed it. No duct tape but a mountain of the white tape they use on ankles. Plus a ton of great food and beer. They do not share a gym with Pitt. They have separate entrances and seperate indoor facilities, a mirror image of each other. They do share the same practice fields.

It's like going through the bargain bin with CDs in it: You might find a deal with a flick you like, but most likely the options are the worst movies imaginable.

He was really just signed for Depth last year and Moore was to be the 4th. WR. The Team wanted to work in the 2 young guys as they should. It makes perfect Football sense to me that DHB was not a option nor was Ben comfortable with him because of those things .

The tape did show that DHB did draw a lot of double coverage it also showed DHB has the speed to get behind any single coverage . If him and Ben can work out a good Bomb connection in the off season it could add another element to the Offense. Do I want the Team to target him 10 times a game ? Nope I don't, but a deep ball or 2 a game would help get guys open under more often. Heck him and Ben might even connect on a few putting points on the board.

They might connect a few times, but DHB would fumble it away before scoring...

Good one . He actually looks like he is catching a lot better here with the Steelers. His playoff catch ratio for the Steelers is 100 % I do believe.

I once found a real Gem in one of those bargain bins and have found some good bargains too.
