I`m guessing it was relatively cheap money, and he provides depth, and an "insurance policy" in case of injury to one of the recievers who will be on the field ahead of him, on a regular basis...

Now we can focus more on D-backs in the draft...

    GO STEELERS!

Wonder why we never tried him at punt return or kickoff return.? Got to be better then what we had as kickoff returns.

Probably because he has never done it, I'd presume? I don't ever remember him returning anything as a pro or in college. There's more to it than just being fast.

last year he caught 3 passes and fumbled one of those away, what are they basing signing this dud to another 1 year contract on, it makes no sense to me...

but how many times was he thrown to? moore didn't catch too many either. cotchery didn't have a lot thrown to him his first couple of years here either and then finished with a 10 TD season.

    Exactly!
Now maybe the Rooney's will be able to spend some dough to have the duct tape removed from the benches and have them reupholstered the right way. Deebo benches shirtless and torn padding and duct tape could lead to scratches and an infection and missed playing time.

So much angst over a #4 receiver.

I don't know how we will ever afford Heyward now.

I am quite sure they got all new equipment when they moved to their new digs; no way did they bring those duct-taped benches with them, as they share a gym with Pitt and Pitt could never recruit players if they had a gym with duct-taped equipment laying around. No way. But, one does wonder why so many players choose to work out in other facilities other than the Steelers gym.

Agreed..I like when we can have a few aces stored. we need to toss him a hat more often this year now that he got his feet and hands initiated in the B&G.

Agreed with Hines, but Hines could also catch unlike Bly.

Geez, guys, he's a number 4 receiver with something you can't teach. SPEED! As Glenn said he can take the top off the defense and draw double coverage, opening up the short and intermediate stuff. But it goes well beyond that. He's also not afraid to block. CHECK! By all accounts, he's a great teammate and positive influence in the locker room. CHECK! AND...this is BIG...HE PLAYS SPECIAL TEAMS!!! DISCOUNT DOUBLE CHECK!!!! He not only plays them, he plays them well. So there's the multi-dimensional aspect of his game that I'm sure the coaching staff likes.

Say what you will, but I'm fine with this signing. We didn't break the bank and I think DHB earned another year with the Steelers.

    Indeed.

Receiver is the one position I have no worries about for next season, at least as far as the talent mix we have there goes.

Actually, it's one of two - Brad Wing is still a lock, imo.

Sanford and Son. Real comedy. Redd Foxx was great.

Good signing. I wonder if Dri Archer is going to be the #5? :lolol:
