I don't think he has signed yet, would you want him a one year stop gap deal? Maybe for 3 million or so.

signed by new orleans 5 milion a year , that's a problem with i have signing c allen to 6 milin a year . i mean what he have done before to give so big money i think at the time he was worth no more than 3/4 milion . let alone now but the same was with timmons when they first signed him why 10 milion when 7/8 would have ben his value ?seems we have a 20 percent overpayng sistem that make us all year tide to the cap . pouncey too ..

Yeah, he's signed. I wouldn't want him anyways though. He's a system corner (press man only), and doesn't tackle. I've always thought of him as overrated.

At this rate I'm thinking corner in the draft, and early

Doesn't tackle? Browner is the most physical corner in thr game and it isn't close.

Yes, very physical. His game relies completely on him winning the matchup with his physicality. That doesn't mecessarily make him a good tackler. He's not. I misphrased my previous post. It should read poor tackler instead of "doesn't tackle"... He would be a very poor fit in our defense, unless we all of the sudden decided to play press man all the time.

its all a moot point anyways since he isn't a free agent and plays for another team

Browner is great against big WRs and struggles with small ones (kind of like Sherman).

Only thing I found on his tackling ability is that he was one of seven corners who didn't miss a single tackle in 2011 as per PDF. I guess between then and now he forgot how to tackle. Had to check because in my mind he is possibly the best tackling corner so your comment surprised me.

I think Allen will be fine. If the reports are true that he was playing while needing surgery that would explain a lot. He didn't look like the same player out there at all. Does everyone forget that Like had a year pretty similar to Allen's early in his career as well? Allen has shown he can play so hopefully he is fully healed and ready to go. The Steelers don't just throw money around like that and I can't really remember them missing on resigning one of there own.

I didn't hear that he needed surgery. What is wrong with him? Mitchell, I knew, was playing injured.

I remember Ike telling Cortez that he needed to say he was playing injured, I know he had a broken thumb, maybe there's something else

Yes Jim, a broken head that lacked confidence.

I thought it had something to do with his hammy that he pulled in camp or a groin something in that area.

Mike Mitchell said he played with a groin issue all season.
