Philly has DeMarco Murray, Darren Sproles, and Ryan Matthews ... so probably not.

That would have happened if "Duce" Staley and Najeh Davenport would have played together, if you catch my drift. ;)

Honestly... Looking around the league I think I'd take Bell over any RB in the entire league. He has become a special talent. Williams was a top 5-10 back just a few years ago. If he's a shadow of his former self, he'll be a very adequate fill in. I still wouldn't mind a 5th or 6th rounder out of this deep RB class to give us another guy to develop.

Definitely, I'll be shocked if they don't.

    Agree 100% about Bell.

I remember when we picked up Staley to compliment the Bus. I was super excited and then...... meh.

I remember last year when we picked up Blount to compliment Bell. I was again super excited and then ......meh.

Hopefully DeAngelo has more success and is given more chances but I'm very skeptical at this point.

I see where you're coming from, and felt much the same. Let's just hope that the circumstances for both Staley and Blount were specific enough to not repeat themselves with Deangelo.

Nope, he left at the close of play.

I still want David Johnson in the draft. If I could just find KC's number, I know I put it around here somewhere...

Staley wasn't signed to complement Bettis ... he was signed to replace Bettis as our starter, and he did until he got hurt.

One of the things that amazes me about Bettis being voted into the Hal of Fame is that people forget that Bettis lost his job in St. Louis, then lost his job to Amos Zereoue, then lost his job to Duce Staley, then lost his job to Willie Parker, and even admitted to faking an injury one year to avoid losing his job to Richard Huntley and getting cut by the Steelers.

Blount was doing pretty good on the field. It was his attitude that done him in.

I am not sure Archer makes the Team . If a good RB hits our board they may have to let Archer go.

Theyd let DHB go before giving up on a 3rd rd pick so soon.

I doubt it DHB kept his job on ST'S and Archer lost his .

Do I think they will cut Archer ?No . Do I think they should ?No. Is it a high possibility if the Team gets another good RB who can't be stashed on the practice squad along with a good WR then yes I could see it.

At this point DHB has more value to the Team than Archer as DHB does play ST'S and he can play the WR spots if needed . Does Archer have a spot on ST'S ? Not as of right now. Is Archer needed at the RB spot ? Not IMO .

All I can say is if I was Archer and the Team drafted a RB and a WR I would be seriously worried about my roster spot .

If I could have voted for HOF induction I would have solidified giving it to Bettis as soon as he ran over Urlacher on that play alone.

I think you greatly overrate DHB's importance to the team. And I was a supporter of his, made much the same arguments when they signed him but after watching last season, I don't see his effect on the overall success of the team as much as you do. Take Archer out of the equation and I still won't be surprised to see DHB let go.
