I wouldn't be thrilled and I wouldn't be mad if they picked KJ with 1.22. I'd definitely lean more towards the positive side though. Really the only knock on the guy is his slight build. I don't think he would last until our 2nd rounder just because it seems the teams drafting late first seem to always take CBs. Plus the teams at the top of the 2nd usually do as well because they took all the premiere lineman. Seems they have a lot of interest though.

Like I posted in the other thread, KJ has not missed a game due to injury in 41 games. So he does show some durability.

Kid has a great attitude and mindset for the position. He looks good on tape

By tape I mean replays of wakes games. I don't sit and watch actually game tape.lol

Aren't KJ and Trae Waynes about the same build? KL is like, what, 6' 188#? TW is 6' 186#?

TW has speed but his agility drills blew. KJ is a tad slower but waaaay better on the agility stuff. If we're thinking CB 1:22, I'd prefer KJ to TW. Both are on the slight of build side.

I watched a few KJ games today, and I can definitely see him being our pick. He played a lot of off man and zone, and breaks on the ball pretty well when the play is in front of him. However, he can also play man pretty well when called upon, and does well sticking to his guy in the red zone. His tackling needs a bit of work, but it's better than most college corners. It's certainly better than Marcus Peters' tackling. I watched a few of his games today, and it was hard even getting to the end of the tapes. He's a solid cover guy, but he seems reluctant to even try to tackle someone bigger than 200 lbs. He basically seems to give them a hug and wait for help. With his dismissal from the Washington team and wimpy tackling, I'd pass on him in the 1st and probably the 2nd as well.

I see draftscout has upped Johnson over peters. still lots of movement going on, on these draft boards as I figured there would be and always are. the cream usually rises to the top. hopefully Johnson is there for us.

A RB in the first four rounds I wouldn't do it, you can find a decent one in the 5th or later.
