At least according to last season's results.

"Based on 2014 records, the Steelers will play the toughest schedule in the NFL next season. The Steelers will play a total of nine games against 2014 playoff teams, plus games against the Chiefs and Chargers, who both finished with winning records, but didn't make the playoffs.

That means the Steelers will play a total of 11 games next season against teams who finished 2014 with a winning record."

    2 solutions :
1 :tank the season trade ben cut all the dead weights , play all rookies and the youngster , gain a first round pick next season and draft mettembergh and start all over again with cap and young team ready .

2 : try to see what we are made of

The results from this last season around the NFL showed that 'strong' and 'weak' schedules are increasingly meaningless.

The results from this last season for the Steelers showed that we were fairly consistent in losing to weaker opposition. So all in all, it's a bright outlook for 2015.

Schedules are set years in advance. Who you play depends on where you finish and what divisions you are scheduled to play against.

Have to take a lot of this strength of schedule stuff with a grain of salt. AFC North played two weaker division last year and had 3 playoff teams because of it. Now Steelers get to play 4 games against playoff teams (Ravens and Bengals) just because they are division opponents. This raises the count of the number of playoff teams and give them a tougher looking schedule. Although this year will be tougher than last year because the AFC North has to play AFC and NFC West both of which have better teams that the AFC and NFC South they played this year.

I would be more worried if we played the weakest schedule..... keep the Jets and Tampa off our schedule.

No, that's not the case at all. Most of the schedule is set years in advance. Only 2 games are determined by the previous years standings, the other 14 games are set in stone whether you finish dead last or you win the Superbowl

On paper anyway. Many times, teams that are really good one year fall on their faces the next. Throw in injuries to key players and we have no idea how hard the schedule will be.

I'd rather they had a tough schedule. It's facing a string of lightweights that always seems to make the team sloppy.

Home, 7-1. Possibly lose to Balt., Cinci, Denver or Colts. I don't think we lose more than 1.
Away, 3-5. That is a tough row to hoe. New England, Seattle, KC, Balt. on road are very tough to beat. And even St. Louis and SD could be difficult.
