Ben would have held on to that ball forever. He would have pump faked twice and waited for a receiver to get "college open", thus avoiding the INT.

    Just saying. ;)

And I'm sure they will care as much as we do when everyone cries about Super Bowl XL.

The Patriots are 4 time Super Bowl champs, and all the "yeah buts" in the world don't mean a thing.

    Kill me now!

Gotta hand it to the Pats. They went out and played a great game. They are great champions. Congratulations to them and especially Tom Brady. One of the truly great players to ever grace the field. Hats off to him. Played it fair and square and never quit fighting. The mark of a true champion. He may very well be the greatest of all time. It's just hard to put anyone above Montana. However, it's a great accomplishment to think that he has joined a club with Bradshaw and Montana and just keeps taking Montana's records. Enjoy him while you can Steeler Nation because when he's gone we are gonna miss watching the beauty of his game. Also Bill is flat out the greatest football mind to maybe ever live. I thought the hawks would win because of their defense but the great Tom Brady had something else to say.

I agree on Belichick. And this is why we disagree on Brady. He's one of the all-time greats, for sure. But I have never seen an offense execute as well as this one does. And that means all eleven men doing their job and doing it well. Montana had that too. If you go back and watch that game, look at how often the primary target is wide open, and look at how much time he has to throw. The Pats' plays are drawn up so well and executed so well. I guess I'm saying I am more in awe of that entire offense than I am the QB who throws to wide open receivers with minimal pressure.

LOL! No I just thought it would be funny to do a little puff piece, no pun intended of course, just to give a little jazz to everybody around here. I honestly did pick Seattle to win though but I thought Brady deserved the MVP because he completely neutralized that defense in a lot of ways. That first INT though was like "dude what are you thinking?!" Manning didn't look nearly as good as Brady did when he went against them. I do like Brady and Bill but I just play it up for fun to aggravate my friends. Although, after these posts, I may a a lot less people to aggravate, if you know what I mean. LOL.

LOL! Does anyone else think there is hypocrisy in all this pounding their OC has taken? I mean if that slant works they will talk about how it was "genius" because "everyone in the building" thought it was going to Lynch. However, if it DOESN'T work it's the "worst call in Super Bowl history". It's like Spinal Tap said: "There's such a fine line between stupid and clever." LOL.

No. It's a monumentally stupid call whether it works or not.

And it didn't help that it was horribly executed.

Ru Lynch, and win. It's that simple.

Yeah if that WR made even half of an attempt to actually make a play on the ball instead of waiting for it to land softly in his mitts it would at worst have been an incompletion. The ball was right there for the taking, his taking, but the DB was the one who wanted it more.

I thought it was more of a stupid throw than a stupid call. This game actually reminds me of the rats/9ers game. Remember how Kaepernick had scored the longest rushing td ever for a qb in the sb and then they get down to the goal line and instead of letting him run it in they actually throw it up to Crabtree? I really think THAT was maybe just as stupid. You have Frank Gore who can pound it in like anybody and a qb with great legs and you try to throw it. I think that was at least AS stupid as what we saw last night.

That interception was just a phenomenal play by, not one, but two CBs. First, Browner jammed his guy hard at the line blowing up the pick and giving Butler a bee line to the ball. Great play by the corners. Nothing more, nothing less. Something we're not accustomed to seeing out of our corners as Steeler fans.

It was by far the worst call ever in a Superbowl given the circumstances.

30 seconds on the clock at the 1 yard line with a time out and the best RB in the league that just picked up 4 yards.

There is no way any coach of that level should call a pass play there.

You could list a 1000 different plays and that was probably the worst one you could pick for the situation.

Ben would have also likely gone for a fade to the corner of the end zone instead of a quick slant.
