I thought they were pretty strong in the late 80s, early 90s.

I think BFTs friend was referring to this article.

    http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...ut-the-ball/Eocm5m29nIlh0HRBjFWsYO/story.html

It's actually Boston University and not Harvard. But that is beside the point. While it is true that air temperature could explain the deflation of the ball, it is highly unlikely and in light of BBs most recent press conference, impossible.

According to this article given that the game time temperature was 50, in order for the balls to deflate 2 PSI under minimum they would have had to be inflated in a room with an air temperature of atleast 91 degrees. Not only that but also tested in there as well.

But its a moot point now since BB admitted his his latest press conference that they did not inflate the balls in a heated room.

What I truly can't wrap my head around (and what HugeSnack illustrated in an earlier post) is the attitude of Patriot fans. That this is all silly and absurd, has no impact on play or game results, and is spurred by others' jealousy of their "glory". Cheating is cheating. And -like in every other sport; the penalties should be severe. Especially when you've been caught a second time. The BB/TB press conferences have been mock worthy or transparent - as are Patriot homers; who come across like 911 or holocaust deniers. As a layman without the means to test the PSI difference I found this to be very interesting.... note the NE fan's response: http://www.wsbtv.com/videos/news/deflate-gate-can-you-tell-the-difference-between/vDCLnp/

I agree with Aikman that they should get more than what the Saints received in punishment. He makes a great argument, ""This whole comment by Roger Goodell based on the Saints when Sean Payton got suspended for the year, and he says 'ignorance is no excuse,' that's going to come back to haunt him again." I also don't see how Shady/Bellicheat can remain eligible for the HoF. Their entire careers seem built around subverting/breaking the spirit, rules, and integrity of the game. No one can deny the accomplishments, talent, and grit of Pete Rose or Lance Armstrong. But they should not be celebrated or honored among the game's idols. And an asterisk HAS
to be placed by those SB wins... as the way they were reached/attained are forever suspect. I don't care if Shady gets another ring by taking short cuts => he isn't worthy to carry Bradshaw's jock strap.

Bettis has been pretty clear... here's what Hines had to say:

Liked the SNL skit. Hope the media / comics keep it up so Roger can't sweep it under the rug like the last time.

Also in the mid to late 90s with Will Ferrell, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon, Darrell Hammond, Norm McDonald(my favorite member ever), Tim Meadows, and those guys were pretty good. They were the last truly great cast I think. Jimmy Fallon was pretty funny on there but that's about it.

From what I understand they checked the Colts footballs within the same hour as Patriots footballs.

I never knew before this all happened that the teams bring their own playing balls.

Did they do that 20 or 30 years ago?

Do other sports do that? Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, Soccer ect...? I doubt it.

SNL should do a skit of the two of them hooked up to a lie detector. It would register the same as an 11.5 earthquake on the richter scale.

Was her name Tanya Reiman? She used to do that on The O'Reilly Factor all the time but she's not been on there in a long time and maybe it's because she works for CNN now.

I'm really not sure but in baseball it wouldn't surprise me if they do. A lot of pitchers have been caught doctoring balls to suit their needs. Cheating is actually probably the MOST prevalent in baseball because there are just so many ways to do it and they've caught a ton of people doing it. I'm a Cubs fan and I loved Sammy Sosa so it really sucked to see him get all roided out and then even get busted using that corked bat. I was just a teenager during the big race between him and McGwire and didn't even think about the roids. Looking back I'm sure they were both juicing hardcore. McGwire TOTALLY destroyed himself in my eyes by his smug testimony before congress when all he kept saying was "I'm not here to talk about the past". I don't think it was the gvt's business to even be conducting that investigation but he just came across like a complete stooge.

Here it is right here. Whether Brady is lying or not, I can't believe anyone on earth would give this quack "Doctor" a penny for this type of BS. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Geez, we can save a ton a $ as a society, scrap the criminal justice system and all the legalities and just get a body language expert to decide guilt or innocence.

Wonder how he'd have judged Ben's clumsy post-Milledgeville presser?

    Truth!

The comedic options are near endless. I could see them get into a tangent about Gezelle.
