Secondary coach to replace Carnell Lake

    When the 49ers made a coaching change their secondary coach became available Ed Donatell who has been around a while. I think the Steelers could use a secondary coach with more experience than Lake.

    I'm with the OP. It was under Carnell Lake that Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu started to slow down and get worse. Also, Mike Mitchell, the guy who was 4 years of stink and 1 year of good, turned out to not be as great as we hoped, in LeBeau's system, playing injured. That's on Carnell too. Backup castoffs Gay, Blake, and McCain turned in sub-All-Pro performances. Get him outa here!

    Holy hell I didn't realize Lake was father time. Mitchell was hurt and it was his first year in DL system so he pretty much was a rookie. Also he was a SS in Oakland Carolina moved him to free.

    I doubt it, his game took such an abrupt turn, that there is probably some truth to what Ike is saying. He has the physical tools, Lake has done more with less.

    We'll find out soon enough.

    Tez best get back on track if he is on the roster. I would not object to cutting him. Admit the mistake and move on. McCain and Blake were a bright spot and I would like to see them both back.
