You can't judge a player based on their win/loss record in the playoffs. You gotta remember, that's when teams are playing the other top teams in the league. It's not easy to win in the playoffs. Stats quite often take a hit in the playoffs because you're playing nothing but the best. It's not like Ben has the greatest stats in the playoffs. He's been pretty mediocre for most of his playoff games.

Paty is a regular season wonder, there are plenty of them. And poor Manny Sanders. Karma dude! And the wonder boy has a wonderful record to take with him, 9 first game playoff losses. The ultimate playoff choker...

The difference is that he has made plays when it counts. I agree that stats aren't everything and that's why I think Ben is a better qb than he gets credit for. Ben does things that peyton manning would never do because he's willing to risk it all to win it all. Peyton seems like he will either win conventionally or not win at all. He could have easily rushed for a first yesterday but threw it instead. That's sort of a microcosm of his playoff performances in a lot of ways.

It's being reported that Manning has been playing with a torn quad muscle. Not that that's the reason he didn't take off and run. He's always been a fairly immobile quarterback anyway. I'd like to see him and Tom Brady in a foot race, lol!

It's time for the donkeys to fire Fox and tell manning they dont need his over paid ass anymore, time for them to take the QB they drafted for the future off of ice and start a new era, by the way that over paid defense they bought in the off season turned out to be a dud so del rio needs to go along with those over paid free agents they signed this year, and maybe Elway isnt quite the genius they think he is either...

Yeah they are maybe the biggest reasons that people think white boys can't be good athletes. LOL.

When you've got a golden arm and a platinum brain, you can get by with brass legs.

This is why I think it is a way pre-mature for people to be writing him off. Yes he is older, but it isn't like the guy is decrepit. The Broncos weren't the same after that Pats loss but they looked really sharp early in the season and they played well enough to hang with the Seahawks where Peyton showed he could go more vertical when needed. With the way medical technology and physical therapy has improved I still think he can be back. Anyway - a more injury prone Peyton Manning is still better than Brock Osweiler.

My guess is part of why Peyton is saying he needs to re-evaluate things is he wants to see which way the organization goes. Are they going to start cleaning house or are they going to be able to keep some of their offensive horses who are up for free agency.

I still think there is a better than 50/50 chance that both Manning and Brady will be playing into their early 40's.

DANG! I was just saying that I thought Adam Gase might be their next coach because it had been said that him and Elway and Manning were close. Wow. I did think it was kind of weird that they'd want to make Gase such a hot commodity when his offense laid a huge egg yesterday. Honestly, I thought that offense yesterday looked a lot like Haley's scheme does sometimes when we are playing bad.

saw it .. he has the second interwiew for san francisco too... del rio should be out

editCBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Broncos are not expected to promote OC Adam Gase to head coach, and it "would be a surprise" if they went in-house.La Canfora continues and says "all coaches under contract are free to explore other options" after the Broncos and coach John Fox mutually parted ways Monday afternoon. It appears GM John Elway is prepared to blow this thing up, especially if he has some knowledge of Peyton Manning not wanting to come back for 2015. It's also possible Elway simply doesn't want to bring Manning back at his non-guaranteed $19 million. The Broncos still have enough to "win now."

You know there will be people down here BEGGING him to do something for UT. He's still pretty involved down here but I don't see that happening. It seems to me like a lot of the extremely high profile guys like him hardly ever go in to coaching and stuff like that. I don't know if they feel trapped in their own celebrity or what and maybe I'm wrong but it just seems that way to me. Like I'd be surprised if someone like Brady went in to coaching. Joe Montana didn't did he? Guys like them seem to just ride off in to the sunset. Although Favre did go and coach a high school team but he's more of a small town guy anyway so that sorta makes sense for him.
