Fire Tomlin ( I May have utered that 1 or 2 times)
    Fire LeBeau
    Fire Haley
    Fire Ben
Cut Troy, Ike Big play Willie Gay, Mitchell, Wheaton and many many more
CHILL FOLKS. We were beat up in the end and missing more than just Bell. Mitchell tells us now his joint was out of place all year. Joint being the one hanging off his body
Anyone can beat anyone any given game. We just happened to be the anyone 6 times this year
Y'all still going to be steeler fans next year so, take a nap!
    Buncha grumpy MOFO'S SHEESH!

I didn't like the match up from the beginning. The Steelers were 3-0 versus the Rats in the post season. And I cannot recall the last time they lost to a divisional opponent in the playoffs. Going from memory, it has to be at least 15 years. Maybe more. Quite simply it was the law of averages and it was bound to catch up with them.

I HATE it when the announcers and analysts start spouting off stats like that before the game. Just SHUT UP already and let them play. This is a new season and the only game that matters is the one they're playing!

Having said that, the Rats were the better prepared team on Saturday. We didn't have an effective strategy on either side of the ball.

We didn't get beat by the law of averages. They were more prepared to play than we were.

I believe the Steelers are undefeated, until this game, in the playoffs against division rivals in the super bowl era.

I get it...they were outplayed, out coached, out executed...blah blah blah. All reasons that they lost. All of that aside, they were due to lose. Division games are notoriously tough, even during the regular season. To be undefeated, especially against a quality organization like the Rats, it's just a matter of time. The odds are against you.

The Jets whacked the Pastries at home a few years ago. Just goes to show you....

Yes, but the Steelers without Bell would be like Baltisore without Forsett and Flacco. Bell makes the offense go, apparently.

Well said. The offensive identity was formed in a big way around Bell. He was the spark.

There are some big names on the Ravens list as well - Jimmy SMith, Dennis Pitta, Arthur Brown - but a fair number who would likely not see the field.

However, the thing to remember is that we were still in a position to win until quite late. We lost because we played like the Hyde Steelers, not the Jekyll. Simple as, really.

This is spot on .. We loose 3 players to IR and look like crap , they loose 19 and still have the depth to look good .

I would also add that it is time for Coach DL to go . The scheme is just so complicated by the time we trust guys to play they are getting a contract somewhere else .

I think you are on to something here. With all the first round picks we could get with trading Ben and these guys, we could have a Superbowl team next season.

Bell is obviously a huge part of the offense, but to use that as an excuse for the loss is unacceptable. We've got a full team of paid professionals, and quite frankly, the Steelers name should carry more pride than "Hey we won the division and made the playoffs", for crying out loud, the Pittsburgh Steelers of old have always had higher expectations than just making the playoffs. That's really the distinction that sets the Steelers apart from mediocre teams. Our losses this year were flat out embarrassing and to end it at home in the wild card is equally embarrassing against a Baltimore team that has been struggling lately.

I wasn't that surprised me lost. Losing Bell was way bigger than I thought it was going to be and it just seemed to throw this team for a loop in every aspect. Our OL has been pretty solid this year, but they were horrible on Saturday. I'm not sure if the Ravens just had the perfect defensive game plan or we were just off. The thing that sucks is that we made the playoffs but lost in the first round so we will be drafting 20th? Mid pack again. We need to address our defense and that may take a while.
