Can't say I cared for it too much. We let Bell being out be too much of deal.

We should have kept it real simple and stuck with the best players available. Guys fresh off the street and Rookies weren't going to help us in that game, and Haley had them doing things they weren't going to excel at.

Our passing attack should have been too much for the Ravens awful secondary. Steelers coaches didn't get their players in the right plays to let them succeed.

I think our team is more talented than theirs. No way we should have lost this game.

This Team as a whole has a problem playing the right players . Should have went with my game plan and spread them out with speed . Moore never got on the field . DHB did and he was playing well . Brown, Wheaton , and Bryant where getting open in those sets .

Ben was confused a lot and made a lot of bad throws. Always stretch a Defense out you can't block .Every time we went tight or put a RB back there with Ben it was a ugly play . Miller and all our TE'S and RB'S got abused as I knew they wood . I could see it on tape before the game started . Had Haley took my game plan we would have won.
To many cooks in the kitchen it looked like to me.

Colbert lets see what Archer can do ? Tomlin lets see Harris the next man up can do . Colbert watch what I found on the wire in Tate . Munchak hey don't forget Miller and my boys they are great in pass protection. The Wr coach we have a lot of un used skill and speed at WR . And he was correct but to many ingredients to get the dish to come together.

Yeah Lance Moore, what a waste. We never utilized him properly here. I mean why not put him out wide instead of Dri Archer. Archer saw the field way too much last night.

Honestly I would have gave Will Johnson the rock all night that game.

Spreading out a defense is one way to thwart a front 7 like that, but also look at what the Ravens do, they have Flacco roll out for a lot of misdirection plays. I don't think I ever seen Ben really do that.

The two things that annoyed the h*ll out of me last night. Lance Moore plays all season long, does what he's asked and is a huge bonus. Yet, you don't play him in the BIGGEST game of the year? Come'on.

And then platooning the RBs. Big mistake. Even though risky, once I saw Tate's fire on the first few plays, I was ok with that decision. Then they pull him and start spreading the touches around between him, Archer & Johnson (very few)?

    Poor gameplan, poor coaching, IMO.

There was some really bad coaching going on most of the game. Tate showed us early what he was capable of and we could have found success if we had stuck with him. Yes, he put the ball on the ground and that's a problem, but the time to punish players isn't during a playoff game. You don't cut your nose off to spite your face, yet Tomlin did. Made no sense. We then used Archer far too much. The guy isn't a playmaker whatsoever. Even during his TD, he didn't have to do anything but run down an empty field. It's not like he made anyone miss or made a good play.

Ben was really bad too. A few of the sacks he took were on him. He needed to see the pressure and get rid of the ball, but he didn't. A few times he should have changed the protection because it was clear there was going to be an unblocked man coming, but he didn't, instead he either got sacked or threw a short pass that was nowhere near the chains and resulted in 4th down. Ben was also hesitant to throw the ball. Yes, guys were covered, but if Ben places the ball correctly just as they come out of their break, then it gives the WR a good chance at making a play on the ball. Ben just refused to pull the trigger unless guys were wide open though. That's obvious when every single catch Heath made was when he was standing still in a gap in the zone. Ben didn't hit Heath once on the move and that's because he just refused to let the ball fly before guys were coming out of their break.

The defence was what I expected it to be. That doesn't make it okay, but we could have and should have won despite the defence. They are what they are and we knew that going into the game. The Oline was terrible like they have been most of the year. That surprises some who think they have greatly improved, but the reality is they haven't. Bell slowed the pressure down a lot by sliding out of the back field and giving Ben a safety valve. You only have to do that a couple times per game to really take the life out of the pass rushers. The Oline is still a very weak spot on this team. That's a talent issue if it's a problem that lasts a couple years, but we've had Oline issues since Tomlin took over this team. We're talking 7 years here, at what point are people going to start to acknowledge the root of the problem? What kind of coach can't put together a decent Oline in 7 years?

I don't think Archer is gona be as bad as everyone thinks he is,. He has only played a handful of snaps all year..(can he pick up the blitz no) but get him in space and he might be dangerous, he seemed to be open quiet a bit last night, and Ben didnt look his way. Rather it have been from the pass rush or whatever reason. Harris seemed to play ok to me. I believe nxt year we are gona have one of the youngest teams in the league, i say let the young guy's play and see what u got!!. if we end up being a 6-10 team so be it. better that 6-10 with a early draft pick than a 10-6 team and getting bounced in the playoffs ..... Make no mistake i dont condone loosing, and i LOVE this team!!!!!!.. B ut i would rather see what we have on the field than watching a Pig with lippstick on it .... On a side note I see JJ didn't sho up again last nite and the majority on here has not gave up on him..

While some of the game plan could have been better...they just needed to execute better also.

For those talking about Moore...he wasn't even active so he couldn't have came in and done anything. They choose to keep their special teams players (DHB, Ventrone, Garvin) dressed because of the big Jacoby Jones threat. I think they could have easily put one of them down (Garvin?) and still been OK on ST and let Moore have a chance to play.

Essentially my point. Not saying Moore was sitting on the sidelines waiting to come in and never did - I said it was a poor coaching decision not to have him in the lineup. You go with what got you there, the playoffs is not the time to get cutesy to try to make up for a missing piece. If we would have stuck with Tate, even after the fumble, I think we would have fared much better.

But Ben was really off, so was Heath. They weren't even doubling AB and Ben couldn't find him because the OL wasn't protecting well enough. And the D was... well, the D. Failure all around.
