I'm not taking the time to register but I would love for someone to ask them how AJ green is feeling. Screw it I think I will.

Trust me. Bengals fans will always loathe Steelers fans but at the same time secretly envy us all the way to their bitter end.

What do you expect.... they've only won something like 8 games vs us since the year 2000... when the world was going to crash because computers couldn't handle a 4 digit year..... something the bengals are still trying to figure out.

It's rather disheartening to read post like that (Bengals Board). Celebrating a victory over a rival team or disliking a coach or player/s is one thing, celebrating what could of been a career ending injury is quite another.

I have some friends who are Bengals fans, and they're always going on about how the Steelers get away with calls, and how they play dirty, and how we took AJ Green out of the game, etc. etc.

It's like the Dartmouth Princeton game all over again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_perception

Wow. I understand home team colored glasses. Believe me, I get it. But I have never seen people with such distorted views from reality! :roflmao:

    On Chris Collinsworth:
    :roflmao::roflmao:

Did they even watch that game? Or ANY Steeler game he's ever called? You can break your jaw from it hitting the floor whenever he gives some token, begrudged praise of anything Steeler related! I mean, I agree he sucks. But he's somehow a Steeler homer? Oh dear God...

And they still can't figure out that spat with Tomlin wasn't about the hit? BOTH parties have said as much. Tomlin's finger pointing wasn't even after Reggie. He was pointing at his bench. They're pissed Marvin Lewis didn't stand up for Reggie. You think maybe, just maybe that's because Reggie was the instigator and Lewis was just trying to diffuse the situation and calm him down?

    Wow...

Yikes. Celebrating injuries is a scumbag move. More scumbaggy than Steelers fans, even.

In response to that, digitalSniper posted:
I know MANY Steelers fans and it's well beyond satisfying for the majority of them to see Bengal players hurt by their team. In fact the Neanderthals respond almost orgasmically.

Clearly he doesn't "know many Steelers fans" because I NEVER cheer for injury for ANY player on ANY team. I was worried about both LeVeon Bell AND A.J. Green on Monday. Also, I certainly don't want to see the Steelers or any other team play dirty. I think this dude got things mixed up-the Bengals are the ones that play dirty and they're the Neanderthals- just look at what they post.

You can ask my wife. When AJ Green took that hit, my hand went to my mouth and I kept saying "Oh no." Sure, I hate the Bengals (actually, I have no love or hate for them. I hate their fans), but what I hate even more is seeing someone take a hit that could be career threatening (and in his case, possibly even worse than that). I breathed a sigh of relief when he got back up.

That's not to say I don't cheer when a player gets hurt. "HURT" as in took a hard shot that might stay with him the rest of the game. NOT injured. Big difference.

(And if you have to point out my avatar, well, I'm not perfect. ;) But that's more celebrating Hines and his hard play. I can't even remember who he's standing over.)

A few comments from Steelers fans in the Gameday thread.

"I say we just start knee capping cincy players"

"Steeler went after Gresham knee. Hope someone Kemos Opie Dalton"

    "Gresham now Green

    PAYBACK!!!"

" I'm not saying I hope Green is injured, but I hope he doesn't play again this year. Let them feel our pain of possibly losing Bell"

Fans get pretty heated during a gameday thread. Wouldn't you say?

Yep. Comparing comment in the heat of the moment vs. a few days later is apples and oranges. Besides, I didn't see any calls for cheap shots. Just more of a "if this is how they want to play, let's give it back to them."
