That the Steelers know how to build a strong championship caliber team.
Lot of people questioned Colbert, Tomlin and the Rooney's.

We're finding out that maybe they did know what they were doing after all.

A couple 8-8 seasons is a small price to pay.

sorry but Colbert still has a lot more work to get him of my s@# list or the hot seat

for now I'm going to enjoy the ride but I have my eyes on his questionable contract extension to players who underperform habits

this years team hasn't won a championship glenn. they just won the division and a shot at a championship. this doesn't let Colbert off the hook for dumb moves. had to bring back keisel and Harrison. kept troy and ike. lost a good prospect for no reason in munch's Johnson. extended cortez. cam Thomas. schedule was favorable. lot's of questions still to answer.

    Division championship.
I said championship caliber also, which I believe they are doing.
They've won seven of their last nine games. (Edit: we won 8 of our last 10) We took that division title from Cincy. Some of these players are starting to look pretty good. Of course they're are some that haven't gone as planned. Cortez Allen is still young and Mike Mitchell has played better lately. Bringing back Keisel and Harrison should be viewed as a positive. The guy just didn't sit around and do nothing. If anything those may be some of the most brilliant moves as of late.

Harrison and keisel worked out as a bandaid for now. still more questions than answers. it's tough to keep doing these types of moves and not have them backfire at some point without more permanent solutions ready to go. they may look brilliant for the short term but that's living on borrowed time in the long run. we are also counting on a PS rb to go into the playoffs with. as I said many questions left.

We have Tuitt , Heyward and McLendon on the DL. What's the problem with that?

For just the third time since the merger, the Cardinals will be playing in Pittsburgh (unless, that game is played in London...but it's doubtful the NFL would take a home game away from the Steelers). This is hard to believe.

The Cards played in Pittsburgh in 1985 and 2003. That's it, folks!

    2011?
Edit: I was wrong about that.
Wonder why we played them away in. 2007 and 2011

not a thing if they stay healthy. we also have 3 OLB'ers that will be free agents and no backup DE's besides cam Thomas. McCain is a free agent. not saying it's all bad but many questions loom at many positions.

Wish they had stocked the RB position a little better.

They played out west in 2011 so my brother and I could see them in person, and witness the record setting bomb from Ben to some former player named Wallass or something. Pittsburgh west (Glendale Arizona) really is Pittsburgh reincarnated when the Steelers come to town. The restaurant, shops and hotel people all over town couldn't believe there was that much black and gold clothing and paraphernalia on the planet. And just think, it could happen again as early as Feb 1 2015! :smiley1:

Getting there, next year the defense should round into shape, heck, been playing pretty good as of late as it is. Have some holes to fill but have loved the last 2 drafts and feel pretty confident moving forward.

Division champs is a nice step in the right direction.

I was at Harold's (in Cave Creek) the night before that game in 2011. They had a Steelers Fest. Mel Blount, Mike Wagner, and Andy Russell were on hand. I didn't get to see Blount or Wagner, but Andy Russell was as nice as could be.

I also have been to Harold's. Got to be the best, biggest Steeler bar in the country. Do they still dance on the bar when the Steelers score.? Craziest thing I ever saw...

I would like to add, bad management from Colbert again with no replacement of blount. now is a little late to bring in a backup. this should have been done at that time.

Adding some CB's would go along way in helping what I think is a pretty solid D otherwise. Ok, well maybe not SOLID but as Blast said, getting there.

When Blount was cut they brought up Harris from the PS.
Yeah I know, Colbert should have all Pro back ups at every position.
The guy has put together a solid roster.

They obviously liked what they saw in the young kid, and developing him slowly rather than a vet on a 1-2 year contract would make sense so long as Bell (and to an extent, Archer) remained healthy.

It was a risky choice to make, though.

I can relate to both Mac and Glenn. It seems to go deeper then that for me though. I believe that coordinators have a say.

Who wanted Cam Thomas? What was the attraction?

Who would have thought that Cortez Allen would be benched? Then a booboo IR stay.

Who wanted Ike Taylor to be retained?

Bringing in Keisel who I thought had another go and then dragging Harrison off retirement I believe is a stop gap yes, but I believe it has had a hand in where this team is today.

Yes it was a head scratcher that a secondary that needed immediate help would see Dri Archer taken at 3.

It's a no win position at times to be a GM. I think he has done a great job at times, then dropped the ball.

Time to get through this season and hope for #7...

I don't believe Cam Thomas was a bad move.
You get a guy that can play both NT and DL.
He struggled a bit in SD, but you get a guy with some NFL experience while you're young guy (Tuitt)learns the system. If he would have played lights out that would have been awesome, but he filled a role till Tuitt was ready.
    Overall a good move!
