Who has been the Steelers best OC since Ben was drafted?
    Whiz, Arians or Haley?

At this point, Haley's eval is incomplete. Even though Whiz only had 3 years, he had a young Ben, and put Ben in a position to succeed. BA led Ben and the O to 2 Super Bowls as well as 2 1 and out runs. I've got to go with whiz, BA, then Hailey.

When Bruce was here, we were winning games with 12-20 points

He wasn't the lead to any superbowls

Ariens situational play calling drove me absolutely nuts. I've seen too many times where we were running in a game with a 4yd per carry average and on 3rd and 1 chuck it 40 yards down field only to be incomplete and then the punt unit comes on the field. Good riddance.

Haleys play book is much better and Ben is putting up better numbers than he ever has before.

    My order of preference is

    Haley
    Whiz
    Ariens.

Think I might go Whiz, BA and Haley. Haleys grade is incomplete though, see how things progress in year three, I might bump him up.

Actually you could make a case for all 3....but Ben has flourished this year under Haley

I'd love for someone to explain to me how BA gets ahead of Haley without mentioning SB's. Look at the defences that got us to the SB's. Look at Ben's stats under each. Look at the offensive stats as a whole. I just don't get it. Winning a SB isn't a sign of a good OC, it's the sign of a good team. Teams can win the SB despite one area of the team being weak, it happens all the time

It's not like Haley is some kind of genius OC, what makes him the clear cut favorite?

Would have loved to see what BA could do with the toys Haley has.

BA had Brown, Wallace, Sanders, Mendy, Heath in his prime. BA had plenty of weapons. What were Ben's numbers under BA compared to Haley? What about the offence as a whole? That's why Haley is ahead of BA

Bill literally called Haley a genius. That means he's a genius. BA wears one of those goofy golf hats. That means he can never be a genius. Also he wears hipster glasses. LOL.

My list is Haley, BA, Whiz, but Haley is still in progress. If he continues to have similar offensive output to what we've had this season, it is a no brainer that he is the best of the bunch. This is the first time in my life I can ever remember thinking (without my homer glasses on of course) that we have a legitimate top offense in the NFL. We have that this year.

Brown of 2014 is not the same player he was 4 years ago. The same holds true for Sanders. Wallace was and still is a one trick pony that body catches. Are you really suggesting Mendenhall is as good as Bell? Did Arians ever have an offensive line or line coach?

It was up to Ben if he was going to get on board with Haley, now that he has, Haley by far. Wiz was mostly about the run cus of Cowher. Ariens play calling drove me up the wall. People are comparing the players each OC had? When Haley first got here he only had Brown to work with, Sanders was always injured, Heath isn't the Heath of old, and Haley had no running back. Now things are better he has a RB, Bryant is a nice surprise, Sanders really hasn't been replaced, and Heath is getting used more, Ariens never used Heath like Haley.

Sorry but all that is garbage compared to AB of today and Bell and now Bryant, there are some explosive players on this team that BA didn't have to work with. He had Wallaces speed, I'll give you that and he turned it into a franchise record between Ben and Wallace for deep balls over 40 yard TD's

And you can't just take away a foot note like the SB just because you don't think he had much to do with it. It's there, it's on his resume and not on Haleys, no matter how people want to slice it.

It's amazing how far people will try to go to discredit BA, who has now gone on to two successful HC campaigns as well, maybe, just maybe the guys is pretty knowledgeable about football.

yes he is a good coach i have to admit it and i have no problem with it , but when was here he was to friendly with ben and at end he was not performing at his best .. do you remember arians here and how many plays he was running (4 ?) . to me his departure was good for us and for him

BA also had Hines Ward in his prime , Heath in his prime, Nate Washington, Willie Parker, Mendenhall in his prime, Holmes, and a healthier Ben. Brown was getting double teamed which opened up Wallace, Ariens had a lot weapons to work with.

It's ridiculous to suggest that BA didn't have the weapons Haley has. Ben LOVED BA because BA pretty much let him run the show and that's fine. It worked out pretty well when Ben could out-physical just about anybody on the field. But Haley is the best thing that could have happened to Ben at this point in his career. Haley's offensive schemes require that Ben gets rid of the ball quicker and that will prolong his career. It's interesting how some of the shorter routes earlier in games set up some of the intermediate and longer routes later in games. That is the genius, if you want to call it that, of Haley.

It's taken Ben three years to fully buy in to what Haley is trying to do, but it now appears that he has and the result is THE NUMBER ONE OFFENSE IN THE NFL! Haley knows what he's doing!

The Rooney's also know what they are doing and that is why Haley is here and BA is gone. AZ is now ranked 28th in offense btw. They've had some qb issues though. I'm not sure what they were before he went down. BA is sorta facing the same situation in AZ that he had here. That AZ defense is pretty good so he can afford to run his asinine system. Although now that he doesn't have a qb it's pretty much gonna cost him. Interesting how many qbs get hurt in his system. Luck was also the most sacked qb and threw a ton of picks. Hmmmmm.....
