Adams needs to sit on the bench. At this point Gilbert is the better run blocker and pass blocker. Gilbert is basically the new william gay. No matter what he does some steeler fans are going to ***** about him until the end of time. Remember back on the ho chi minh trail when gilbert gave up that sack?

it's not all about the sack. they both get pushed back into the qb way too often. maybe give him the keys to the car out bound for somewhere else and take his buddy adams with him. oh that's right we have nobody else. thanks kev.

Have you been watching Adams? Play at RT has dipped significantly since Gilbert got hurt.

Were you not satisfied with the way Gilbert was playing, before he got hurt? I grant you he stunk the first couple weeks, but I thought he was doing just fine after that.

I don't trust either of them honestly. Adams KILLS me with all the balls he allows to be batted down. It seems like if Ben gets a ball batted it is from Adams' side.

:lolol: If that's the thing that bothers you the most about him, try not to pay too much attention to his actual blocking.

I know when Gilbert went down in the first half of the Texan game Adams kept Ben clean through the end of the Colts game total 6 quarters since that, he has more in his pockets. IMO Adams has stepped up.

Ok Snack in my post i stated i needed someone to convince me that Gilbert will keep Ben clean on a very important game..i will be watching real close :innocent:

Neither guy has a prayer of handling Justin Houston on his own, so we're going to have to roll help that way and hope that Beachum can man up against a hobbled Tamba Hali. I am really concerned for Ben's well being Sunday. That said, I think Gilbert gives Ben a marginally better chance of survival.

I know. LOL. I'm just saying that it's really annoying to think that a guy as big as Ben can get balls batted down. It's a complete waste of a play and odds are a guy is open if Ben is trying to throw it. It's just that plays like that make me live in the world of "what might have been".

They've both had a fair shar of ups and downs. Adams looked sad last weekend tho. I prefer adams over Gilbert from what I've seen, but Gilbert is the money man at this point. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see them both gone but it ain't happening yet. KC is scary, always seems to play Ben tough! Doesn't matter who's calling the plays at QB... they play us tough.

Gilbert's problem has always been inconsistency. He'll have these terrible games sometimes. But he also puts together long stretches (6-8 games) where he plays awesome, and allows little pressure. Adams has never done that in his career. Gilbert's done it a bunch, including just before he got hurt.

That said, if he's not 100%, that's different. Playing hurt against Justin Houston is no way to succeed. I agree with Elvis, we're going to have to send help to whoever our RT is.

Too much money invested in Mr. Gilbert for him to not start.

What Snack said. If Gilbert isn't 100% then let Adams handle it. You're bringing a guy back after three games off with no practice in a crucial game to try and gel with his line mates.

This, Gilbert if he is 100 per cent. Either way they will need help similar to when they played against Watts.

Don't forget Larry Foote...whole lotta Larry Foote hate throughout the years, where all he does is tackle and play on good defenses (which is no coincidence)

Im kind of with you on this. Gilbert does nothing for me. I thought Adams filled in pretty well against the Colts.

This O-line has performed very well this season. We talk about them like the 08 version. I don't get it..
