I'm getting ahead of the cart, but if we and the Bengals win next Sunday, I would not be surprised to see our week 17 game vs the Bengals flex scheduled to Sunday night. If I read the rules correctly, this would fit their plan.

I believe it will be either way. Either way it has playoff implications and would be a huge national draw. I kinda have started floating plans for it.

I thought the Steelers have played the maximum number of prime time games so they would not be allowed another 8:25 PM start time. Or does that not apply to the flex schedule.

BTW - other contenders for that time slot may include San Diego at Kansas City - i.e. one with a win could get in possibly, Detroit at Green Bay - Division on the line, Carolina at Atlanta if the Falcons and Panthers both win next week that game would be for the division, Buffalo at New England where Buffalo may still have a chance at a wild card and NE would need to win to sew up home field.

I figured five or six weeks ago this game was ripe to be flexed. But, since the Steelers have already played the supposed limit for primetime games, I didn't know if it was going to happen. I think this is probably the most intriguing matchup as far as playoff implications, with the possible exception of the Green Bay-Detroit game. Which game would draw a bigger crowd for NBC? Bengals-Steelers or Packers-Lions.

On a personal level I hope it is flexed since I'm going to this game, and reserved a hotel weeks ago figuring it would be.

Teams can be scheduled for five primetime games, but can be flexed to a sixth.

This would be beautiful...we'll be getting off a cruise the morning of the game and will miss the game if it's at 1:00. Actually gonna miss KC game too since Miami is playing at the same time and will be on in South Florida :-/

Since I have tickets to the game, I'm hoping it doesn't, I hate getting home so dang late after primetime games.

That would be awesome. Seal the deal in prime time.

I'm not sure I would like the idea. Not to get ahead of ourselves but I would hate to play late on Sunday then have to play a playoff game on Saturday. Unless I'm looking at the schedule wrong we may be looking at the possibility of a Saturday game. I want as much time as possible to heal and gameplan. Let's take care of business first anyhow.....
