According to playoff possibilities even if Chargers win last two.

    Truth.

Lose to KC and we need a lot of help to get in. A lot of it revolves around what Cincy does. However, if we win, we're sitting in a good spot, and would most likely get in either via 4th or 6th seed, depending on our final game outcome.

The Chokers couldn't win today against a lame, flu-ridden Peyton. Their last 2 games are on the road........"Alligator arms" Rivers is done!

    I did too.

Plug in the following: Steelers over KC, lose to Cincy...

+SD wins vs SF and KC
+Buffalo wins vs Oak and Pats
+Miami wins vs Vikes and Jets
+Baltimore wins vs Texans and Browns

    Steelers are 6 seed.

So, yes, win vs KC clinches a playoff spot, it would seem.

Change one result: Houston wins vs Baltimore. Keep the rest just as you said.
    And look again.

We lost some games we should have won but if we can get hot right now and win the last two we could be as high as the 3 seed. Time to right this ship and let our offense lead us to the promise lands!

The Steelers hold the best conference record over any team in contention with them with a wild card. Any way I look at this. They are in with a win over the Chiefs! Go to Nfl.com playoff predictions and compare them to ESPN's, they are different.

I just went to the NFL prediction thing and put in the same thing as the ESPN one.... no difference. Steelers dont clinch this weekend with a win without it being paired with a Ravens win or a Bills loss.

According to this number crunching site, it's win and in next Sunday. They also have us 95% likely to be in with a 1-1 record over the past 2. Not sure that I'd take this as gospel, but it sounds good to me.

Use NFL.com, not the other sites for correct results

Steelers are in with win over KC no matter what.

Nope, too many tie breaker scenarios...... Pitt win KC lose Cincy/ Balt lose Houston win Browns / SD win both....

    Cincy wins division
    SD gets 5th seed
    Balt gets 6th seed
= Pitt in 3 way tie with SD & Balt loses tiebreaker according to NFL.com:

    • 5th Seed - San Diego
Wins tie break over Baltimore based on head-to-head win percentage. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Pittsburgh (Baltimore wins tie break over Pittsburgh based on best win percentage in common games).
    • 6th Seed - Baltimore
Wins tie break over Pittsburgh based on best win percentage in common games.

I predict we will win the last two and Colts lose this week @ Dallas. We get 3rd seed and host the Bengals. Ravens vs Colts in the other wild card.
We sweep the Bengals and go to Denver. Ravens beat the Colts and go to New England.
We defeat the Broncos and Patriots defeat the Ravens. Steelers @ Patriots
That's as far as my crystal football tells me right now.
It also says bet the house on the Saints -3 and the Over, tonight.

Should Baltimore lose to Houston and then beat Cleveland while the Steelers beat the Chiefs and then lose to the Bengals the Ravens would NOT have a better winning % against common opponents, they will have the same 9-5 record. Both 3-3 in the division and 6-2 in the other 8 common games. To eliminate a team from within the same division you would then go to conference records where the Steelers would be 8-4 while the Ravens withdrawal be 6-6.The Steelers would then eliminate the Ravens

Sorry to disagree.... but the tie breaker would come down to common opponents, which the teams share (I'm excluding the division as they'd both be 3-3 based on my above scenarios, maybe I'm wrong by excluding them????).

    Other common opponents:

    Carolina - Both teams won
    Indy - Pitt won/Balt lost
Tampa - Pitt lost / balt won
    Atlanta - both won
    Tennessee - both won
New Orleans - Pitt lost / Balt won
    Jacksonville - both won

Baltimore would have one more win against common opponents. I think that Elias may have made a mistake.
