I went 8-8. With our current lack of pass rush I see Cincy winning at least one against us, Atlanta and their WR's will beat us and a toss up with the final two home games. I think the only game we win moving forward is KC. Hopefully they prove me wrong but this year feels a lot like the previous years. A lot of missed opportunities...

    10-6 with WC.

Matty Ice will carve us up for our last loss.

Our defense should be able to hold serve long enough against Dalton and Smith to give our offense a chance of scoring some TD's.

Hope you're wrong. Even the Rooney's got to be pretty pi**ed off at his results

If the Steelers finish 8-8 or 7-9 I think there would be a pretty decent chance Tomlin would be fired. Think about that. It would involve losing possibly 5 in a row or 4 of 5. That would be pretty bad. Also the assessment over that past 3 years would be they lose a lot of games they should win and they are erratic in games with good teams but the most recent losses would all be to playoff competitive teams.

Also to add onto this and this is thinking way ahead, but if the Steelers finish up badly, I wonder if the schedule for next year may be thought about a bit by Rooney & Company. Next year's schedule is going to be murder. The Steelers play the NFC West and I know they go to Seattle and will have to tussle w/Arizona and SF at home, St. Louis is no picnic either in their building. They play the AFC West with Denver at home and road games at KC and San Diego. So knowing that a 1st year to change things around can have some growing pains, the Rooneys may want to get next year out of the way and let a new coach work their system into play....especially if the defense goes through a major overhaul.

If I'm trying to follow a pattern out of all this, the Steelers find a way to beat the Bengals on Sunday (coming off a win they probably didn't deserve) while the Falcons get gashed by 30 on Monday night. Using that short week, the Falcons come back rolling and beat Pittsburgh by 17 in Atlanta. In week 16, the Chiefs are flying high after a big win at home against the Raiders and a chance to solidify playoff positioning....the Steelers take them, setting up a chance to win the division outright in week 17 at home.....following a similar script when we recently played the Bengals, with a tie score and 20 seconds left, Suisham is brought out (on 3rd down) to attempt a 54 yarder into the wind. It falls well short. With 14 seconds left and a timeout, the Steelers drop 8 men back into the endzone. Dalton calmly hits AJ Green over the middle at the Steelers 30, calls timeout, and sets up the winning field goal. Obviously, it wasn't our game.....

Poll closed. Just for the record:
    **50 total votes.

56% think the Steelers season will end without a playoff berth:
    • Only 2% the Steelers will lose all remaining games.
    • 20% are expecting a 3rd consecutive 8-8 season.
    • 24%, a 1 game improvement from last 2 seasons, and a 9-7 finish, without Playoffs.
    • 10% are expecting the Steelers to lose only one more game, but still out of the Playoffs

44% expects the Steelers to get into the playoffs.
    • 30% as a 10-6 Wild Card
    • 2% as a 10-6 Division Champion
    • 12% winning out, and being Division Champions

Let's see the dynamics of this perception after tomorrow's game. I'll open a poll tomorrow, short after the end of the game.

I'm sure that tomorrow's game will change some perceptions. I expect to lose tomorrow and go 9-7. If we win, I will change my perception to the 10-6 wind card camp. If we lose, I'll be right where I'm at now.
