I'm Just Sayin'...

Small tweaks on offense and defense and they'll look like they did agains the Colts and Ravens at Heinz Field.

Ben needs to tighten up throws. Receivers need to be on route and fight to pull in every ball. O-Line needs block well and consistently and stop committing penalties (false start mania).

Defense needs to get consistent penetration into the opposing backfield, stop the run, and keep pressed on the receivers without letting any opponents get on top.

Special Teams needs to provide good field position for both the offense and defense in kick/punt return and kicks/punts.

If they all do this consistently, then they will win.... because... at this point...

I have confidence that the Offense can get it done but no so much the Defense.

Yep and this D just doesn't have the talent to do to much . We used some gimmick stuff it worked a few games now what are we going to do ?

I say throw the defensive playbook on the fire and put our biggest 4 or 5 DL on the line and our best tacking CB'S behind them with just 2 LBS and go to the big nickel .

This will give us the best chance to play the run and the pass our CB'S suck so bad in pass coverage their exam into the game should be can they tackle ? My logic is they are all going to get burned who can help in the run game .

 

Question. Have the Steelers done anything consistently the last 3+ seasons?

 

I might add stop getting cute in the redzone. Fades to Brown? why? He is at his best juking and jiving and losing his man. Get Heath isolated along the goal line. Line up in the power I and just let Bell follow Will J in. heck let Ben sneak it but stop trying new things that are low percentage and get the score instead of settling.

 

The OP hit it on the head. I believe also we can win out, but and big BUT, we have to get back, or close to that mid season play from the team as a whole. We know they can do it. On the flip side i'm already preparing myself for a massive let down just in case. Bottom line is we have to put up points in the final stretch! None of these final four will be easy. It is really going to show what the players, coaches, team as a whole are made of. Good or Bad.
