The truth hurts some of these people. I have seen it for years. But with the Rooney's we will have to live with an under achieving head coach. I am curious though, what happens if we miss playoffs again?Once again this may be all right with some on here.

It's not the coaches, its the players. We don't have as much talent on this team that many of you think we have.

I'll try and keep this short, yes, Ben wasn't "on" but my God, most receivers in the league are catching balls with 1 hand, we have guys that get both hands on the ball and drop it. We all loved Bryant but it now looks as if he can't catch a ball in traffic, and the o-line hasn't been good since the colts game. I'm not going to heap all the blame on Ben when you can see the pattern, when he is made dodge sacks from the get go, the offense struggles, take a look at how quick his pocket collapses like when he hurt his hand, just not consistent play. The defense is bad, they can't stop the run or pass, Brees struggled in the 1st quarter because of dropped balls and pressure but as good as Gay has been, the INT's he had have made him a bad player. He is now looking to jump routes and the other team knows it, the Titans took advantage of it and so did the Saints and it leads me to this. Do any of our players watch film? This is on the coaches, yes, the players are playing poorly but what are or aren't the coaches noticing in practice? Cam Thomas is a waste, no easy way to put it, he just lines up and dances with his guy, never any push or pressure and he only gets a tackle when the RB is down or on his way down and that is on the coaching staff, specifically Lebeau. My last complaint is about DL, he needs to go, the players we have are not capable of playing in this system and our offense the same way, remember I said Haley;s offense requires too many pieces to be perfect? Well it showed on the bubble screen that was almost a pick-6, Heath didn't disquise or even come up to block, that is the third time I saw him mess up a screen which is unlike him, that tells me there is a coaching problem, they keep making the same mental errors, could it possibly be a lack of practice?? Coaches need to be held accountable as much as the players, 8 years at the helm and the team continues to get worse, not better.

So the fo isn't alower the luxury of rebuilding? We have 10 years of success inclung 3 superb owls and they're supposed to stay on top until the end of time. Seems like a bunch of you of expectations far above the realm of possibility.

i just slept on it and i came with a conclusion .. this team has become ARROGANT (exactly like his coach and qb) that's explain coming out flat vs bad teams and good when they are underdog , they think they will beat some team without a problem only because they are better , look at our coach how he came with his sunglasses on, like he was rambo , then at half he had his usual big eyes completely lost ...

    This

If JJ doesn't get hurt, JH would not have been brought back. I think an injury brought Beard back too, no?

Have you not read this board? Bring in a new guy and the predictable few on here will be calling for his firing after a few losses.

    Uhh just so you know:

Rex Ryan is a Defensive Coach known for getting the most (supposedly) from his players because they believe in him and respect him (They actually lobbied to save his job last year). Rex's defense is one of the best RUN stopping teams in the league......NOW WHAT'S THEIR RECORDS AGAIN? RECORD SINCE HE'S BEEN THE COACH AGAIN? BELOW 500

Mark Trestman was brought in as an anti Lovi Smith who thrived and made his bones on the Defensive side of the ball. The thinking was with all the talent they have on Offense with their 3 huge receivers and tight ends along with Forte they should go far in the playoffs. The offensive under Cutler was supposed to be unstoppable..............NOW WHAT'S THEIR RECORD AGAIN? BELOW 500

AND AGAIN YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE GUY WITH 2 SUPERBOWL APPEARANCES AND THE
    620 WINNING PERCENTAGE?

    A good point.

However, the defense started the game with three stops of the Saints offense. The Steelers offense needs to come out and score points (touchdowns). I've stopped giving the offense much credit for all the field goals. That's hurting, not helping. The Steelers make two scores, then the Saints make one score and they're in the lead.

The Steelers do not have a defense that will shut down an opposing team's offense the entire game even when the team is getting blown out. Those days are past. When the current defense comes out and makes stops the offense needs to score touchdowns and make the opposing offense play into the hands of the defense. Otherwise you'll see what we've been seeing this season.

I'm considering going to look back at the blowouts of the Steelers at the hands of the Browns and the Ravens to see if this theory holds.

I've been saying this isn't a stellar defense... yesterday they were terrible down the stretch. So, I'm not dismissing their poor performance. It was abysmal down the stretch. But, the offense is just as abysmal. They're not playing together.

Maybe, maybe not. That's nothing more than an assumption. Personally if we're not good enough to win the SB I would prefer 5-7. #gettherebuildfinished!

Total failure from TOP to BOTTOM..... Players and coaches, in my opinion. We run the risk of going 1-3 against the NFC south, which is currently the worst division in football.

I heard one discussion about Tom Coughlin, arguably a good coach (got the rings), these coaches get to an age when the new young talent doesn't buy into their system or doesn't respect or hear the message. Call it Tomlin, Lebeau, Haley, etc..... their coaching message has either gotten lost in a generational difference..... or they aren't good coaches. I think LeBeau's message is getting lost, and Tomlin is just mediocre..... again, just my opinion.

Yes I do, without the caps lock on.

Your arguments continue to be silly and not worth a long reply. Example, in your Ryan and Trestman argument, it appears you're comparing Ben to Geno Smith and Jay Cutler. I hope that's not the case, but if not, not sure why you use them as an example. Very confusing...

I think we need to look more into our position coaches and coordinators. You have three former head coaches on your staff and you can't put a better product on the field then we have.

Johnny Mitchell (DL) his techniques to build up lineman takes to long for today's NFL, Butler (LBs) needs to take over sooner rather than later or fine anothe coordinator all together, Carnell Lake (DBs) Cortez Allen has fell off the wagon and Richard Mann (WRs), Bryant and Wheaton are behind the power curve. We draft receivers and they tend to do well after they leave. (Sanders and Wallace)

Because at this rate that .620 winning percentage is going to be dipping down to below .500 before we know it, and the legacy and brand of this franchise may be damaged for a long time to come.

His two Super Bowl appearances need to be put in a proper context.
