There's a large group of people that would want to sign Ben to a contract even if he was 45 and crippled, just because he's Ben. They'll never agree that it's time to move on.

We can't win with Ben and all the ridiculous weapons we have on offence. I don't see how signing him to a huge deal and weakening the rest of the team is going to help us win when he's that much older.

    Yep.

In the first quarter we showed we had the tools to beat them. Didn't take advantage, got our asses kicked. They can celebrate away.

I hope our guys are watching and crying from the other sideline. However, it's only the fans that seem to care about the games and the franchise so they probably don't mind. Also I'm glad Hoyer got benched because I don't like him. Hoyer is not a good qb. Period.

Game saving tackle there by Troy. That is if, you know, this team can score.

I agree. Let him play out his contract and then either franchise him if his play warrants it, or don't and find out how much he wants to finish his career here.

Nice to see Troy make his first tackle of the game. Is Shamarko still hurt? Man, he and Shazier are china dolls.

What do you do, though? Let Ben walk? We could start the post-Ben years early then but for whom? They still aren't drafting high enough to get one of the top QB prospects.

Ben sucked before he hurt his hand, and he's sucked plenty of other times this year too.

So what does this mean for the playoff picture? I bet we are out of the wild card hunt now right? I mean as of this moment?

I don't know for who, clearly that guy isn't on the team right now, but if we give Ben a huge contract that handcuffs us in other areas, were doomed to be a mediocre team for many years to come. We aren't winning jack with Ben now, and that's with perhaps the best WR and best RB in football. What good will it do us to sign him to a long, expensive deal?

That's what I think happened. He was missing EVERYone today. He never looks that bad. I don't care what anyone says. Even that pass to Heath was high just now.
