Someone add a poll and i think contenders are(in no particular order)...W. Gay, Bell, Munchak, Ben, Miller, O-Line or any others but I'm going OLINE! I like what I'm seeing from this group. Game ball to them? Bell played like a man and its pretty close but that blocking was as inspiring as the gutsy hardnosed running. Smashmouth playoff style. Heard those hits all night, not for the faint hearted.

You forgot Blount - for leaving early to go turn on the heater in the bus for the players who actually contributed tonight and froze their a$$es off in the process. Blount < Duce "Stanley"

If there's a poll made, it should only have one option, and that's Leveon Bell.

I can't give the o-line a game ball when Ben was sacked 68 times.

Bell obvious choice for the game ball. Runner up Brett Keisel who seemed to be the most consistent player on defense lastnight..

There is no way in hell Ben deserves a game ball. A wide open Blount take a sack, wide open Archer take a sack. Wash rinse and repeat.

This. Ben and Gay don't deserve to be mentioned. They played terrible most of the game. The Oline was horrible in pass protection. The only person who should even be mentioned is Bell. It's a one man race for the game ball

If you pick anybody other than Bell. You have been smoking too much of Blount's reefer.

Bell hands down. Blount I think was scared about the surprise DEA inspections from Sunday. He thought they were coming for him... :)

I don't understand the hatred towards ben when he has an average game by a certain few. If Ben doesn't run for a first down on 3rd and 3 to keep the drive going behind 11 points the steelers probably would've lost.

I've gotten pretty used to it, as sad as that is.

Only one candidate should be on the list though, Bell, in a landslide.

Why is it hatred? Ben played like crap most of the game. If not for Bell running for 200 yards, we lose that game. That's not hatred, it's reality. Just like it's reailty when we say other players have a bad game. Why is it not okay to acknowledge Ben had a bad game? Why do some think he should be untouchable?

Yes, Ben made a good play getting that 1st down. He also made a few other good plays. For the most part though, he didn't play well. Neither did a lot of other guys, including Gay, despite him having that one great play.

    More cow bell..... ball goes to Bell. OL gets honorable mention for run blocking, downgraded due to pass blocking; Gay + for pick 6 - being a whipping boy;

I can't think of anything Bell did wrong all game long. Clear winner.

Because he didn't play like crap, he made a horrible throw on the interception in the endzone but lets not forget he was under siege all night. Even the announcers were saying that Horton was giving Ben the DL treatment.

It's like people expect Ben to be perfect when every other top QB makes the same kind of mistakes.

It's far more than just that one bad throw. It was also plays he didn't make, such as taking two sacks instead of throwing the ball. Missing a wide open Blount, missing a wide open Archer. If the two throws to Bryant were better, both would have been TD's.

Anyway, in my eyes he did play like crap. If he had played better that game would have been a blowout, rather than just barely winning. It's not hatred saying he played bad, it's reality (even if just my own reality). The funny thing is I said in the same post that both Ben and Gay played like crap, yet only the Ben comment is picked up on. I don't care if he is the QB, he's not above criticism, even though some on here act like it

I was just trying to explain why the OP you responded to felt that way. Hate might not be the right word but people are overly critical of Ben for sure.

Anyway, this argument is definitely rinse and repeat.

It has absolutely nothing to do with hatred for Ben. He simply didn't have a good game. He struggled with their pass rush, made several poor throws, and completely overlooked wide open receivers on more than one occasion. To suggest he deserves a game ball is just being disingenuous.

Overly critical? He's the QB for christ sakes. The team goes where he does and an argument can be made that he played so poorly we should have lost that game. Bell needed a career game just to get us to scrape by. QB's always deserve criticism when they don't play well because the entire team relies on them more than anyone.

I'm not being overly critical of Ben, I'm saying he played like crap, just like a few other guys did last night. It's not the first time Ben has played like crap and it won't be the last. Everyone has bad days, but people are so overly sensitive of any negative comments towards Ben. I don't understand why he's so untouchable in some people's eyes. Makes no sense.

What is it that makes you think it's hatred versus critical analysis?

I don't think Ben played his best game last night. He made some bad throws and some bad decisions. He also made some really good throws and really good decisions. The Titans were coming after him and the Oline stunk it up as far a pass protection.

Whereas, Bell, had a career game. And most importantly, with the game in the balance, he carried this team. So, I see there being only one option this week.
