You too, huh? Yeah, I laugh listening to Tomlin aggravate them.

Yes, the interception of Ben/Bryant was just a good defensive play. These guys are all pros and are capable of making plays.

They do if all they are doing is making sure they get a hat for game day, a starting position, or defending their spot from an up-and-coming.

Practice hard to make sure you play. Underestimate who you're playing. These could be two different focuses from a player.

It was a good play, but I honestly have to lay a bit of that at Bryant's feet. He needs to wall the defender off in that situation and pluck the ball from the air in front of him. He was just letting the ball come into his hands very close to his body. Chalk it up as a learning experience for the rook.

I agree to a point.Players are a reflection of their coaches. I truly believe that Tomlin have no voice in drafting these players nor do he have control over these players. This is exhibited by their undisciplined play, inconsistent play, and no team identity. We used to be known for building through the draft...now we've become just like the other teams ...wasting precious draft picks and don't even get me started on our coaches developing young talent.

I didn't get to see much of the game (and am not too inclined to re-watch it in detail, as you might understand...) but from what I saw early on it wasn't so much taking them lightly, as just messing up execution. We had defenders going for Vick in the backfield and missing the tackles. We had MIke Mitchell being Mike Mitchell and losing the one receiver he had to cover deep. We had schemes being called that could have stopped the Jets had they played like they could.

If it was a case of players taking stupid risks, under the assumption that mistakes could be recitfied later, then I would class that as taking the opponents lightly. If it's a case of not botherng to tackle someone for a sack, and letting them run for a first down instead... I think that's just bad execution.

I'm not completely pinning it on one thing or the other, mind - it was, as usual, a bit of everything going wrong at all the leas helpful times.

I think the play calling looked the same as the Steelers bad games before Houston.

I am getting sick of running the ball with a draw play out of shotgun. I like a mix of single back and behind a full-back to run. More than 2-3 draws a game is usually just dumb. I don't have snap counts but I bet there was an increase in this play for the Jets game from the last three.

I'll gladly take the draw from the gun over the stupid bubble screens into traffic resulting from our OLine being blown up.
