If we don't beat the Titans Monday night the loss to the Jets will definitely mean something

It will mean our three game win streak was nothing but a mirage and this team is far from a playoff contender and on track to finish 8-8 or worse . It also means Tomlin needs to go and Hailey needs to go

You went a little far there. I expect at least 9-7, maybe 10-6

It already means something, means making the playoffs got even harder.

Doesn't erase those wins though, those wins prove they can play at a high level and those are the teams they'd face in the playoffs, not sub .500 teams.

Ben puts up nearly a 1000 yards and 12 TD's against some serious back to back competition and gives credit to TH's play calling and you're still stating that he should be fired.

Yippie, Lets bring in a new coordinator and start all over!

Haley seems to design good stuff most of the time , this past week the approach seemed a bit weak , but overall he is a good OC ....I also think Coach T is a good HC just wished he would stop talking the other Team up so much....

If we make a move it needs to be Colbert , very questionable picks combined with questionable contracts ....Win ,lose, or draw I hope we replace Colbert...

Even if we beat them the losses to the Jets and Bucs, will still hurt. Every win is important.

Hmmm...not sure how I feel about this. This team has me to confused. I just don't get what happened against the Jets. Where was the great play calling we had the prior two weeks?

After coming off a high this team showed lack of preparation for a 1-8 team. The Jets were taken for granted and no one will convince me otherwise. Much blame on the coaching staff.

My only real complaint with Haley's offensive design is the lack of a lead blocker in the run game, especially in short yardage situations. I mean, what happened? Did a fullback kick sand on him at the beach? Why the hate for fullbacks Todd?

I was at the game Sunday and almost embarrassed to admit it. I'm still in a stunned state of denial that the game even happened. Oh well ,moving on I guess. Let's see we gave Tampa their first win and the Jets their second. Do we give the Titans their third? I just have a bad feeling that one of those losses is gonna make the difference again this year when it comes to the playoffs. I think we need to win a game or two that we might not have expected,to make up for these losses. A sweep of Cincy would be a good place to start. Very slim margin for error this year,10-6 might not do it.

Everyone said the same thing about BA. Possibly a trend in the league? I haven't paid much attention to whether other teams are using FBs.

We have a damn good fullback in Will J who can not only block but is a threat pass catching and runs decent too.

why we refuse to use him consistently I'll never know and I am not a fan of Harrison taking snaps from him. That's beyond silly.

The Chiefs put on a clinic on using a FB as lead blocker this year. I think the perception is that putting a FB out there gives a strong indication of the play selection. Me I see it as a way to sell the play action but to each his own I guess.

I agree 100% if you are going to take Will J out of the game for a gimmick play put in the Mountain and have him destroy the edge.

Fullbacks have fallen out of favor, in general.
    We use Johnson, minimally...
Is John Kuhn, still doin anything good for Green Bay?(Last I saw, he was, but that was last year... Haven`t been paying as much attention this year...)
I agree, with putting McCullers in, as a lead blocker.
    Great idea.
I also, would have loved to see Silverback get a touchdown reception, a` la, Mike Vrabel, for the Cheaters...
I don`t think that was the 1st option, when we put Deebo in( I think he was s`posed to lead block,), but it would have been sweet, and it did show, that we are trying EVERYTHING!!!
    GO STEELERS!

Because they actually get in the way in a zone blocking scheme . Our OL is not suited to man block . Every time we try and block heads up 1 of our OL gets crushed back into the backfield...We need to get Adams in there as a extra OL and run some TE over stuff....

Also we need to run out of wider sets, put the WR'S on the sidelines spread the D out...

I seem to recall the Texans and Ravens both using a lead blocker in the ZBS quite well at times in the past 5 years. Also, I'm not really talking about using a fullback in the base offense. I'm talking about using a lead blocker in short yardage situations where I would not advocate for using a zone blocking.

I understand what you are saying and I would agree if we could man block ...I actually love man blocking and love power football we simply don't have the OL to do it....IMO we are better off running out of a 3 or 4 WR set even on short yardage , but as I stated put them on the sideline take at least 3 defenders out of the box , maybe even 5 ....

I read that we haven't even been running the ZB much. Leave that to you film guys to determine or not.

as I have said before we are mismatched on the o-line. gilbert and foster are more of a power running fit and the rest are mobile, can run and get downfield or outside to create havoc. will j is not used enough in this offense either.

Mac you are right it is a mismatched OL. I actually like it as long as you have the right guys in the right spots .... IMO the best way is to be huge at the Tackles and at Center and to be mobile at the guards ....I have always thought we should move Pouncey to Guard...
