But I would love to play the pats in a AFC championship game. I want so badly to beat that f--king Brady in this type of game to shut everyone up. Ben has broken a few records lately and everyone is still talking about Brady and that f--king team. They can f--k off. I'm sorry for ranting like this but I love my Steelers and hate then Patriots.

I really don't want to play them in the playoffs. They are a nightmare to matchup against.

I disagree, go watch the tape from last season's ass whooping by the Patriots they scored a record 55pts and over 600 yards of offense.

Up 3 possessions, its 4th down with 5 and they go for it... I don't care for that team, If we stay healthy, I wouldn't mind playing them in the playoffs

    In our house only

    not that it mattered
we had that one coach who couldn't get his team up for the big game in his own stadium

Wow I'm glad I do not have to live through that schtuff anymore

I've never thought we have had as much advantage at home on this field like we had in 3 rivers. I would love to host a playoff game here, but being a road warrior is pretty fun too. however it happens, i'll be on board.

Why not go for it? This isn't 1975 where the opp team is going to run/run/pass/punt on its next possession. This is 2014. Don't go for it, and they ram 21 pts down your throat in the next 2 minutes due to a momentum shift and playing the "new" NFL (pass/pass/pass). Can't happen? We did it just a few weeks ago...

I hate the Pats just as much as the next guy, but I can't fault them for being aggressive. As I always say - class doesn't win championships anymore, dominance does.

If DL would be able to do what he did three years ago and go bump and run the whole game I would be down.

If Wheaton, Bryant and Bell keep playing and improving like they are, I think we could match them point for point. Denver, Cheatriots, Chefs, Colts, Steelers and Bengals means it will be a high scoring AFC playoff picture.

I do agree but with a lot of hesitation. I've been to those playoff games and never did so with much confidence. The only game I really enjoyed with the patsies was a home game a few years ago; the whole crowd did the wave a few times, and was chanting "OVER RATED".

How about this scenario - since someone else did the dirty deed for us on our last 3 SB runs appearances and knocked off Billicheat in advance so we didn't have to face them in the AFC Championship game (unlike 2004) - why not have the Brown Stains - one of the AFC wild card reps this year after bumping off the Bungles this Thursday - take them out in advance for us. Problem solved.

In order to make the Super Bowl, we will have to knock off 2 out of 3 anyways (Pats, Colts, Broncos). I don't care which order we play them in really. The best case scenario would be to find a way to finish 13-3 or 12-4 and get home field advantage as the #1 or #2 seed.

I hear ya. I hate it when we play them because Belichick always seems to have an answer that no one else does.

Agree 58. Lets get there first than deal with who is put in front of us. One game at a time.

The team that showed up to beat both the Colts and Ravens could beat NE.

Absolutely, the problem is that Belichek always seems to have a way to find weaknesses in other teams and exploit those weaknesses. I worry that the team we saw against the Colts and Ravens will be unable to perform like that against the Pats.

Mac, agree with just hoping we are not peaking to early. We are playing lights out now. This is the type of playing you need during a playoff run. Reminds me when we went on the road during the playoffs and we beat the Colts with Manning and won in Denver and forget who ever else we beat to get to the Super Bowl.

What does Lee Corso say, not so fast.
Do you really feel our defense could handle Tom Brady?

Not sure that's the most important takeaway here. The real question is this - can NE's D handle the way our O is lighting up the scoreboard?
