I don't kno who the other players are in the running for this. But if Deebo gets six more sacks this year. I Think he is a lock to win it..might even make pro bowl.... thoughts? ( srry if there was a thread for this already)

I agree. He could be in the running if he stays healthy and keeps on making impact plays. I think that if Mark Sanchez has a great 2nd half in place of Foles, he would probably have the inside track. They love giving awards to QBs.

I thought this award was for players that where hurt or out of the league ? To my knowledge Sanchez has just been a backup this season. So i don't kno if he would be qualified ..... i could be wrong on my thinking tho:shrug:

Silverback's comeback is pretty awesome. I think Larry Foote and Rolando McClain have to be in contention.

So we are in agreement that greater than 6 sacks gets Deebo the CPOTY.

Next question: How many more touchdowns must Bryant catch for him to be the NFL Rookie of the Year?

Most of you know I was very critical of 92 and the way he departed "Da Burgh". I did not wish him well in Cincinnati. And did not want him back after Cin. cut him. BUT after our LBs started dropping like flies and 92 decided he wanted to make a few bucks and the time he wanted to spend with his family could wait a season. The dollar amount(which Im assuming is vet min)we gave him.Plus the way he is playing at 36. Im glad hes back!! I just wish you never left!!

A bunch and way more yards to be sure! Keep in mind his Clemson teammate up in Buffalo Sammy Watkins and Kelvin Benjamin down in Carolina both have five and a ton more yards + catches. Jacksonville has 2 rookie receivers in the top 10 in yards (for rookies) and up there in catches and they both have 2 TDs. You've got Mike Evans and John Brown sitting there with 4 as well. That's just the receivers! Take a look on the NFL stats page it's crazy! Then you've got the RB's and you throw in the Defensive guys! Think it'll come down to TV exposure in the voting....

With all these touchdowns, I just don't see a defensive player getting it. Hard enough for them anyway. He's started out from behind, but I'll say this, I won't mind seeing him catch 2 touchdowns a game over the next 8 games. Whether he gets ROTY or not.
