Both the Cowboys and the Redskins are currently being quarterbacked by the last two Browns drafted QB's. You couldn't write that joke but apparently one thing is obvious Jay Gruden can make anyone a good QB except for RG3 or he at least needs more work Colt McCoy he can do it in just seven days.

I actually wanted us to get McCoy instead of Grad honestly. I thought he would be a pretty serviceable backup.

Pretty good game. Not sure how they can forget to cover Witten.

This is an amped up version of scrimmage at Browns training circa 2012.

I think Colt McCoy's dad has gotten more camera time than Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett combined tonight.

He is waiting to tell someone that Colt is playing with a Concussion. He got a taste of the limelight and now he craves it:roflmao:

Yeah I was thinking earlier that he was sorta like Elway's dad or something. Didn't he go in the locker room after Harrison lit McCoy up a few years ago and run his mouth about how Harrison was dirty and all that?

Did anyone see the altercation on the field after the game between what must have been a local reporter and the Redskins PR guy or something? After the ESPN reporter spoke with Gruden and McCoy a reporter showed McCoy a camera and started to talk to him and then some Redskins guy in a suit grabbed McCoy by the jersey and started pulling and McCoy ignored him and then he walked around McCoy and pushed the reporter away pretty forcefully and McCoy started walking away and the Redskins guy turned around to the reporter and said "NO MEANS NO!" I suppose what happened was the guy had asked for an interview and the media people told him no. That's pretty ridiculous. The guy was playing in his hometown and I'm sure there was some reporters there that would have liked to talk to him. What was the big deal? At least McCoy tried to make an effort and not "forget about all the little people".

I heard the "No means No!", line, but didn't see the incident. I thought someone was making a bad joke about sexual assault. I was thinking someone was getting fired!

I really enjoyed it for some reason, but apparently it wasn't as big a deal as it's being made out to be.

"We wanted to get Colt in to hear coaches post game speech."

He adds, "I wasn't denying access. I wanted Colt to hear coach talk. I felt we needed to get him inside."

Wyllie says, "Right after the speech, Colt went out and did the interview. I explained the situation to them. They were happy in the end."

As for the contentious moment, Wyllie says, "Normally we set these [post-game interviews] up before [the game]. They'll say, 'This is who we want to talk to.' They didn't do that."

I guess not much! LOL! I was also in favor of letting Wallace go as well. I think we would make pretty good co-gm's. LOL! I still wish we would have been able to give McCoy a shot. It would have been even better for the Steelers to take a guy that Browns couldn't do anything with and make him a serviceable player.

and not to start a flame war here but I'm sure that if Gruden got his hands on Landry Jones you would see one heck of a good back-up with some starter traits. I really think they need to look at how they develop players at the QB position

Man I will tell you what. I've thought a lot about how we plan to replace Ben and I've honestly wondered if when Landry was drafted if they thought they might be taking a guy that could eventually take over for him. The reason that has me really skeptical of what is gonna happen after Ben is gone is because Landry has shown NOTHING. Does Gruden have a good rapport with qbs though? I think Whiz does.

Jay Gruden seems to. He did a good job with Dalton and Cousins and McCoy both did well with limited reps. I think being a former OC he has a good idea of what he wants in his QB. He does wonders with pocket passers
