There was nothing definitive to change the TD ruling on the field, but the two head reffs I hate to see officiating our games is number 1 Jeff Triplette, and number 2 is Walt coleman, when either one of these two goes under the hood the obvious becomes a fantasy call more often than not....

He was still stewing about it during his interview. I don't see the big deal about him venting, look at all the venting that goes on this board and we're only fans, hes a player who was robbed of a TD. Don't blame him.

I think you all are missing the big picture here. It appears that the call shouldn't have been reversed and the TD should have stood as originally called.

However, AB has to be bigger than this and move on as a professional should. His tweet shows nothing more than he is just another egotistical athlete that is merely concerned with this personal accomplishments.

Unfortunately this is all too evident in the world of professional sports these days.

Be happy that you won the football game and move on to next week.

In my opinion, AB should be fined for this, and MT should have a stern talk with him as this is not how Steeler players should act. It appears AB still has a lot of growing up to do.

Don't disagree with you but I feel like AB already knows its wrong to call out the refs and act like egomaniac so no point in anyone talking to him. He will never change

Act like an adult and accept that mistakes happen? They need to pass some of that around here!
Lord knows I could use some! Lol!

Unfortunately, the picture with the original post does not prove anything other than he caught the ball. In that pic, his second foot is still clearly in the air. Personally, based on the divot taken, his toes were out of bounds when they landed.

Or, are you thinking that is the third step?

The divot occurred after the initial contact inbounds - like the start and end of a slide. The divot is where the final disturbance to the grass ended, not where it was initiated.

Secondly, are we really getting all wound up about a f-in tweet? really, who even cares? I think what he tweeted was in reply to the posted picture, which I think about sums it up correctly. People are way too sensitive.

I agree and I probably wouldn't have gone on Twitter to complain but that's only because I'm not on Twitter.:smiley1: I think some people who are saying he overreacted don't have the competitive fire that some others may have, especially a pro. athlete. Do some people understand what it takes to just get to this level and on top of that be one of the best in the world at that level. This is a guy who played at a small school and was drafted in the 6th round. Do you know the work he puts in to his craft? You absolutely need a chip on your shoulder to get to these heights.....so sorry if some part time employee tries to take away something you earned with your hardwork and determination....it's not that easy to just let it go.

I liked Gruden's comment after they overturned the TD, " I used to love football".

The divet was mole hilled prior to the white. He caught the ball. He will be fined etc... I just wish these zebras were fined as well. That would lead to a little more comeuppance on their part.

Makes me long for the days when all the officials had to fine was if players had their socks down around their ankles instead of knee high. Brown is free to express displeasure all he wants but if I am not mistaken it is forbodden to criticize the refs or maybe that is just the coaches. In any event it is his money he with part with and a good cause will get some money, all is well with the world.

Absolutely! What I get out of this whole thing is that since AB took his comments down, was it from his second guessing ( maybe showing some maturity) or did someone get to him about it first.

I don't know about fined but you're on the right track. There should be some kind of "3 bad calls" a season and you (your crew) are out of the league officiating corps. It would certainly diminish the number of low-grade calls and allow the game to be played. Bad calls can be an exciting/infuriating element of the game and maybe they shouldn't be completely removed via modern devices? Shocked the NFL - a multi-billion dollar enterprise, is behind Cricket in game replay technology?!

He played a great game and in many ways it's good to see some fight in him. I completely support his posting the picture... he's a young athlete trying to rise... but the trash talking tweets aren't even Ron Burgundy classy. Plus, it seems like he could've been more into celebrating that moment in time with his team instead of instantly vanishing into his individual vindication/social media?

If they did that, there wouldn't be any crews left after the first day of the season.
