I'm not sold on Woodley's comments. He's wasn't doing well when rushing, before he left Pitt. And he isn't doing much in Oakland, based on a friend of mine who's a Raider's fan. The Chargers put up a ton of points on them, last Sunday.

Woodley only has 4 tackles this season. No sacks. Wow.

I'm not surprised at all. Even the Pillsbury Dough Boy thinks he's soft.

When Jarvis comes back, does Silverback get released? If not, who does?

Ugh you guys will complain forever about coaches, I get that. ONE DAY, you will all finally realize that the main reason our defense has declined over the past years is due to the decline in defensive line talent. I won't even point out that our run defense is terrible, but I will go right to the point that the defensive line CANNOT consistently hold and drive blockers back and/or get after the QB. You cannot play defense effectively WITHOUT a decent defensive line. Heyward is our best, but he is not exceptional. Keisel is our second best and he shouldn't even be on the team on a talent standpoint alone (although he brings much more to the team and I am glad he is here). Everyone else is terrible. Tuitt/McCullers get a pass because they are rookies, but McClendon and Thomas are not good enough.

The secondary is in decline too, but from a fundamental standpoint, the breakdown in the defensive line is a much more pressing issue that needs to be addressed.

The OLBs are not that good either. Jones is the best but he is hurt. Worilds wont be here next year. Harrision is getting back into gameshap but should be in a position to be a starter, as the team should have had players to replace him when he left. I am glad he is here though. Timmons is a beast but he is about it.

We have one exceptional player on defense, and that is Timmons. In 08, we had Harrison/Polamalu/Timmons/Farrior/Hampton/Woodley and a younger Ike (not exceptional but solid)

It is simply a talent issue folks.

It's just incredible how far he has fallen. Also I think he got a big deal from the raiders if I'm not mistaken. Even when we had him though he had went way down hill. We know he was an extremely talented guy. Is this mainly just conditioning? I know the raiders had him beef up and we were always trying to keep him from doing that. Looks like we were right. No wonder the raiders are horrible.
