Exactly why I avoid that crap like the Ebola. Well that and its just silliness. But I do know a little and if it were Hines that said it then it would be a "Retweet" which would begin with a "RT."

Then again, I could be totally wrong.

Hines was always a great player on the field but he was somewhat of a malcontent a times. Question - if Hines was such a team player, then how do we all know that he didn't like Ben?

    yeah
the same Hines who slept in a chamber so he could try to play in super bowl 43
the one who coached sweed in the affcg to get to the super bowl and he knocked the f%$ out of that raven

the one who pulled Holmes aside in 43 and told him "it's your time to shine"

    yep that malcontent

    that malcontent LEADER

I wouldn't be surprised if Ben called the majority of the plays until it became situational and then I wouldn't be surprised if Haley or Tomlin stepped in. But remember the other day when we had to take a TO at the start of a quarter? Ben looked SERIOUSLY ticked. So that would lead me to believe Ben WASN'T calling all the plays. Even when manning played for the Colts it has been said that he pretty much had 3 plays to choose from but his OC or Dungy could overrule him. So I don't think ANY qb calls ALL of their own plays. Not in today's NFL anyway.

Sweed? Seriously? Not sure how to respond to that. You mean after he dropped a wide open TD pass? Wow - blocked someone after costing us 7 points - great job. Hines was a great player and had great work ethic, no doubt, but he was not a Heath Miller caliber teammate.

Don't know about that, I don't think Heath ever caused any controversies or had off field problems like a DWI.

True, but there was no reason to compare him to Heath in the first place. Heath leads in a different way than Ward.

IMHO, Hines has earned the right to talk because he has walked the walk. No one has done more with less than Hines Ward even with 1 1/2 knees. There is no denying the blood, sweat and tears he has given to this organization. So what if he wants to chirp a little bit ,he has the perspective of coming from teams that have shown a lot more grit and determination than this current bunch. Their play deserves to be critiqued. If the guys don't like the criticism, then do something about it.

Pouncey has been whining about it saying Hines doesn't see all the hardwork that they have been doing and how hard they prepare......could of fooled me...."Put it on tape".

Ward was the leader among our WRs. How did that work out?

No. That is @PFTonNBCSN tweeting a quote by Hines. In other words, it's a quote from something Hines said in an interview or on air.

I think it's a way of Ward telling the Team they need to reel Ben back in , if we want to score more points...IMO Ben is simply not the guy to see the best play or recognize the mismatch...In fairness to Ben that has really never been his thing so better to take the thinking out of it and just let Ben be Ben...

I think that is the response Ward is wanting from his former Team...

    Ok, I stand corrected.
I guess thats why it's best that I avoid that form of social media.

As far as the quote itself, I think you really need to see it in context to truly understand it.

And questioning Hines loyalty and leadership is laughable. The guy was a loyal warrior until the end.

    THAT'S RIGHT!

sure he sat out that once to get a good contract but he earned it for the most part.

he showed the young ones what you could get with putting in a hell of a lot of effort.

maybe when he said "the young money crew" it was a little tongue in cheek comment because that's ALL THEY SOUGHT ?

who knows? I wouldn't put it pass him.
we all seen what Wallace wanted and got.

Ward was probably thinking, Prove yourself first boys, like I did.

A Brown is on his way

Hines was as whiny and needy as any WR I can remember ever playing for the Steelers.

You mean the whiney guy that has a rule made because of him or the one that took multiple headshots and didn't go crying to the media about it?

Maybe the one who played through concussions....Yup Whiney....

I'm talking about the whiny WR that felt disrespected when we drafted Troy Edwards and Plaxico Burress, even though he hadn't done a damn thing yet.

I'm talking about the whiny WR that complained about being moved into the slot to make room for Troy on the outside in 3 WR sets.

I'm talking about the whiny WR that felt disrespected when Ben had the nerve to say that we could use a taller WR.

I'm talking about the whiny WR that felt disrespected by his contract and held out for a new one.

This just posted on Hines Facebook page.

What's up, Steeler Nation!! I don't know about you guys but I'm frustrated with the way this season is going so far. We're coming off back to back .500 seasons with no playoffs and we might be heading in that same direction if we don't change some things. That's NOT Steeler football. That's not how we do it. What do ya'll think? What are you seeing is our problem? I wanna know your opinions. (Please keep it clean...If you use profanity or become disrespectful you will be removed from this page, there are kids who frequent this page)...Thanks for keeping it classy. Hines
