I was bored to tears with the Darryl/Beth episode; however, the character development is definitely needed. If looking for mindless action then I would turn to Netflix.

Alright, just to clarify again - I'm not advocating mindless action. What I'm saying is there is a happy medium where character development and action co-exist. I'm no more a fan of cardboard characters in an all-action setting than I am an overwrought drama where a few random shots are fired for effect.

Wow, possibly the best TWD episode ever.

    I gotta say I certainly didn't expect
Terminus to be over in just one episode

I don't think it is. Oh, the building is toast. But Gareth is still out there (along with whoever else survives).
    ;)

    Great episode.

I know! I was shocked that they did that all in one episode.

    Yeah,
Rick had the right idea wanting to go back and finish them all.
I expect that's going to haunt them down the road.

I forgot to mention that stinger!

They've never done that before. A tiny scene AFTER scenes for next week?

So when I saw Morgan, I was all...

What's with those trail markers carved in the trees? Did Rick and crew leave them? If so, why? Doesn't seem to be enough time the way they were moving. Or someone else? My hunch is it's the remnants of the Terminus crew. They were very organized. Almost professional about the way they did things. Are they tracking / trailing Rick and Co? Then Morgan just happens across their trail and follows it since the sign turned him off Terminus.

    You may be right about
Garreth. Did Rick actually tag him when he shot at the roof? I remember him going down, but was that him just going for cover or was it him being hit? Rick probably should have finished the job, I agree with you there. I wonder if him living will have him go looney, Governor style.
I got to say I wasn't expecting to see Morgan at the end of the episode.
And, I hate to say it, but I think the group is probably too big right now. They'll probably have to thin it out some, even though I like all the characters in the group.
Maybe the tree carvings were made by Gabriel? We do come up to who I assume is him on top of a rock in the upcoming episode preview.
And I'm still really want to know about Beth and what happened to her.

Another thing that got me about this episode is the overall brutality that the group displayed. I guess it's needed in this world now. Even if there is a "cure", I doubt society could ever go back to the way it was.

And another thing, how long has this apocalypse been going on? Where do they keep finding guns and ammo?

In the time shifts in this episode, we see that there was another group that came into Terminus and took it over before Garreth's group. Were they cannibals too? We see them taking a girl with them, was that to eat or just have their way with? I've always wondered what happened to the group that Randall was a part of. Was that the Terminus group that took over before Garreth gained power? The biker gang that Daryl got involved with? Someone else we've yet to see?

They have to be brutal but as Glenn said when he wanted to free the others, they have to keep the part of them that makes them who they are.

Gareths group was there first, it was taken over by the group you saw dragging the girl away, and that was to rape her. Gareths group was originally good and that incident changed them, you're either the butcher or the cattle.

I finally just got to watch the TWD season premier tonight.

I concur that this was a great episode.
I'm sure we'll see Gareth again in the near future. Rick owes him a red handled machete.

Agreed, that was one of the best episodes I have seen from TWD. The show kind of desensitized me with all the gore but I found myself shocked!

    Yeah, the scene where
they were at the trough and they were slitting throats was actually kind of hard to watch. I'm amazed that this was even on tv.
What is TWD rated anyway? Can't say I ever paid attention to it.

I had to look it up. It was TV-14, but they bumped it up to MA a while back.

It's on AMC, which is more akin to HBO than NBC or CBS, so they have a number of shows that have more violence/nudity/language (ie. Breaking Bad) than regular broadcast stations.

    JUst ONE question...
How do you put the "spoiler" blackout around your text again?
    is it this?
    Guess not...
Oh well, I guess I will just say Carol is one hell of a shot, with unconventional weapons... LOL!
    Welcome back Dead!

I have a fairly good source. I don't necessarily like being spoiled. But sometimes it's fun. If you're a fan of or read the comics, you'll understand this line. If you are blissfully unaware of the comics, it'll make little sense to you. But beware, it's a pretty major spoiler. Read at your own risk. (or read after it airs to confirm my source. ;))

Bob is the new Dale. I hope this doesn't "taint" your enjoyment of the episode.
    ;)

Then it was cryptic enough not to reveal too much to non-comics readers. ;) Exactly what I intended. But if you did read the comics and this is still unclear to you (again: READ AT YOUR OWN RISK - it's still a coded/cryptic sentence. Just a tiny bit less ;)):

Dale had a story line with "Hunters" in the comics they never got around to on the show. They're still doing that story, but Bob is taking his place. Tonight.

    Oh, and...
I totally called it last week. Wasn't spoiled when I did. hehehe
