With the rats and bengals winning

 

Were 1-1, it is not a must win, although it would be nice. It's going to be tough to beat Carolina. They have probably the best defensive line in the NFL, and we don't matchup well against teams with good defensive lines

 

Only thing I can say positively is "on any given sunday"

Though We don't seem to match well against any line on either side of ball

 

I am not optimistic but we have a fantastic record against the Panthers going into this game

 

I think it all comes together tonight like a perfect storm, Ben will throw 3 td's Bell will rush for one, 5 sacks and 2 int's for OUR defense.. thats how i feel right now.....( of course i felt i was gona win the powerball lst nite, so what do i kno??)

Technically not a must win..but saying the Steelers don't need to win preseason games and saying reg. games are not all that necessary i'm thinking were sending the wrong message . Maybe it will take another 8-8 to change the mindsets.

 

Does it really matter what us fans think? It has no effect on the team. It sure would be nice to win and every game matters, but it's not a must win. A must win is basically you win or you have little to no chance at making the playoffs. It's way too early to say if we don't win we won't make the playoffs

 

i would say a must win is next sunday , because if we don't beat tampa at home the problem is BIG , tonight we play on the road against a very good team will not be easy ...

 

That's true, even if it's not a literal must win game. If we can't beat that awful team, this is going to be a lost season

Isn't the point of the regular season to make it to the playoffs? Thus any win that is a must win is so because it determines whether or not a team makes the playoffs.

Certainly, the game counts as much as any other game, and I don't want to start 1-2. But a must win it is not. Come the end of the season though, it will be nice to have a win here
