I know the mindset .."was only preseason" but still a loss something we are getting too used to!!

 

I've seen an Indy team win in Pittsburgh in a cold blustery November day not so long ago and a sorry KC team that pushed us into OT a couple years ago too. Only game that I see weather possibly being a factor would be NO, sorry, Baltimore and KC are accustomed to the same conditions as we are. Sadly, Heinz field does not have the same mystique as other home-field advantages. Like I said, I could see a 12 win season IF they were playing well.... but based on the past 6 quarters, an 8-8 season is back in the conversation.

 

if we keep playing like we did the last 6 quarters , we will be lucky to win 3/4 games

 

If we don't play better I'm hoping to be blinded because I'm not sure I can take watching too many more performances like Thursday!

 

I'm going to try watching the next match with the sound down, and have the commentary from the Superbowl against the Cardinals on instead. That way, if it gets really bad, I can just close my eyes and pretend we're winning.

which brings me to this. this reminded me of, well for this site and bft's humor, my wife and my trip to the DR's office let's say.

my wife has to go because i'm hard of hearing. the dr. asks me the routine questions and i say "WHAT DID HE SAY" to every one and my wife passes them on to me in a loud fashion. he finishes with "i need a urine sample and a stool sample next time in" and i again as all the other times before said loudly, "WHAT DID HE SAY?" ,my wife then responds loudly to me , " HE SAID HE NEEDS A PAIR OF YOUR UNDERWEAR".

 

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! That is absolutely hilarious!!!! My wife's great uncle is hilarious and once I had prostatitis and had to get...um..."checked" and I was NOT happy about it! So I told her uncle about it and he said "well when you get my age and you have to get a new doctor the FIRST thing I always ask them is if I can see their hands!" LOL!!! You have made my day mac! I really like you. You are one of a kind!

This may well be a better team than then, of course, but we'll see. At the moment, they're certainly firing on more cylinders than the rest of the division.

 

Actually, I was hoping that my eye sight was really going out on me and that we actually had won Thursday. So you all are now telling me that I really did see what I saw?

Yeah, kind of has that old 80s feel. Cincy leading the division and a scary browns team... Funny how things repeat. However, atleast we have a capable QB in this version but no damn defense! Weird.
