He looked awful all last year and has looked just as bad so far this year. Combine that with this injury and the strong play of Cousins when he has had the chance, and RG3 may not get the starting job back. I thought he'd come into this year and look like he did during his rookie year, but that didn't happen. The guy can't throw the ball anymore, which is odd because he was slinging it all over the field during his rookie year.

I'm not a big RGIII fan, but I felt really bad for the guy when I saw this on the ticker earlier. Not cool for this to happen to someone after what he's been through.

The Skins have spent a lot without a lot of return at the QB position. They gave up a combined five 1st round picks, a 3rd and a 4th to get Jason Campbell and Griffin.

I never bought into the RG hype coming out of college, I thought people were nuts for thinking he was better then Andrew Luck. That guys the real deal.

It wasn't just hype, that kid came into the NFL and looked great. He was slinging the ball really well from the pocket, always kept his eyes down field, looked off receivers, etc. He looked like a stud. Then he forgot how to play the position and he has been just awful ever since. I thought last year was just due to him and Shanahan feuding and it was affecting his game, but clearly that wasn't the problem.

I meant as far as the RG vs Luck debate coming out, I didn't think he was on Lucks level. You're right though, RG did look really good initially but I always felt he was going to struggle with injuries.

I thought Shanahan stunted his growth as well but maybe he's just so concerned with trying to not get hurt that it is taking him off his game. He certainly hasn't been the same since he had that one good year.
