    Forgot to get this started. Set the number at 45, already got 3 today.

    I'll continue with my glass half full outlook and go under. I'll update this every week.

    I can change it to 50, does anyone else feel that way? We'll get a few responses to get a feel for where it should be set.

    Wow, you should be a politician.

    From the poll numbers (5 votes right now) it seems there are some guys feeling this is a good number (45). Just my opinion about setting it at 50! Even though, thanks for considering my point of view. Blast for vice-president of this board (TTF will still get my vote for president).

    I vote you set it at 55 ..I will still take the over . They are going to turn Ben loose with the no huddle and 4 or 5 sacks a game is almost a certain .

    :lolol: No problem. I think its been set at 45 for previous polls, we'll stick with it.

    How do you figure that? Wasn't the case over the last 8 games last season. Quick passing game, harder to get to the QB.

    Manly because Gilbert sucks and we have no 1 any better ,we won't be able to quick throw all the time plus Ben likes to hold for the big plays a bad OL and a defense that will give up a bunch of points = a lot of sacks to me.

    I just think it will be over 55 ..

    Don't see it. They gave up 1 sack over the last 8 games last season I think? Gilbert didn't get worse, he'll actually be better, just didn't show it today.

    45 sacks would be unacceptably high. Ben hasn't been sacked > 42 times in the last 4 seasons. Haley was hired to keep Ben from getting killed, not to kill him.

    With this D he may need to kill him to keep his job or to get another job offer,,,you see my thinking ?

    As long as we win he will have options. If we have a horrid year how many options will he have ?

    He hit 42 last year, 30 the year before while missing 3 games and 40 the year before that. I think it will be under 45 but he's flirted with it 2 of the last 3 seasons.

    If / when Gilbert gets benched, I'd think about making a different guess.

    Gilbert is getting nothing as a workout bonus this year
    so
    you gotta figure he hasn't workedout so no bonus
    seems fair

    holy hell what is he making next year???????????????????????????

    Let's say you are the decision maker. Bench him and eat all your money, or risk an injury to Big Ben on W 3 or W 4, losing him for the season.
    What would make you look worse?

    IMO, he needs to get benched, and give Adams a shot. Can't be worse.
