I'd like to add an option as one of my votes:

If it's working, don't change it!

I came to this thread thinking "play a complete game" so I voted for the last option. The rats are not that good so if we come out and play 60 minutes of what we saw in the first half we can kill them.

Good choice. I was limited to adding 10 options when creating this poll. For sure, your added option will have followers!

but we won. are you sure you want to change that half and half formula so quickly? heck i'll take 'em winning like that throughout the Super Bowl, if that's how it's going to be. it still adds up to 7 Lombardi's.:smiley1::cool:

Against the Browns. That formula isn't going to beat many other teams. We got lucky that the Browns screwed themselves otherwise we are 0-1 and listening to Cleveland fans talk smack all week.

I think the browns can be as good as anyone once their offense sync's up some. hoyer came in and won games for them last year before getting hurt. they are not the same browns as a couple of years ago. they have a good O-line, have always had a good defense and have some good young RB's. make no mistake they are a good team. the only difference is them talking about the first half and what could have been, with a loss in their column.

I like that we made an early gutsy win to show these young guys that's what we expect here, to dig deep, work hard and win.:smiley1::cool:

Steeler fans have to stop thinking this way. I bet you plenty of fans look at their teams schedule and say the same thing about us, the Steelers aren't that good, we should kill them.

It's the NFL, all games are tough. We're not the 70's Steelers anymore.

they don't seem to be very good BFT.. I never got to see the game but they really did struggle with Cinci and from what I understand Flacko put 60 balls into the air with something like 50% completion. lol

But I have to wonder if Ravens are that bad or is Cinci that good.. Not sure yet. Time will most certainly tell :)

It's not just one key...but multiple keys are needed as for a fine tuned piano. Much of the above needs implemented with a few that's not. Play with urgency, consistency along with determination to win and for God sakes keep the foot on the gas!!

Wheres hyrt their punter? He us the only one left they haven't attacked, maybe it's because the steelers figure we can't get a good punter so no team in the north gets a good one?

The Rats always try and beat us with big plays. So not only do we need to stop big plays with the deep ball, we also need to stop big runs and big pass plays to the RB'S in the short game.. If we can do that and hold them to FG'S we will have a good chance.

    1) Protect Ben - if he has time he makes plays

    2) No stupid penalties - don't let Flacco get his standard PI call for a 1st down to keep their drive alive, don't ruin any decent returns with block in the back calls etc....

    3) DBs limit big plays - Steve Smith is their new Boldin, and Torrey Smith can always hit a homerun ball

And... Flacco uses to throw a lot of bombs, specifically looking for a penalty. Last season it worked for them several times (against us, and against many other teams).

    1) Proper execution most of time by offense, defense, and special teams.

    2) Taking care of the football by offensive players

    3) Staying on the field in 3rd down situations on offense and getting off the field in 3rd down situations on defense

    1. Stop the penalties, several drives were extended by penalties on the defense

    2. Create turnovers, interceptions were left on the field on drives that resulted in points.

    3. Communicate

    4. Start Gay over Ike
