I like ff, but I like the steelers even more. My bias shows up since I have to pick the steelers defense (at the end of the draft) and Big Ben for qb1 (round 7). I also picked bell (round 3) and Blount as a handcuff (round 12). I am unable to pick any players from Afc north opponents or from the patriots. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I will not pick anyone other than a kicker from our division and we even draft defensive players. As for drafting Steelers I will and I wont but I keep it pretty spread out.

Ben is my back-up QB behind Luck and I picked up Archer for a flex position. I never pick Ravens players ever.

I'm in 3 different leagues. Some for fun, some for money. I want to win bottom line. So I will draft Steelers players if they are smart choices at the right time. I do have Ben as back up QB in almost every league, and got him toward the end of the draft in every draft. I have Bell in one league and Brown in another. I don't have the defense at all. I think I have Suisham as a kicker in one league. But, I live in NW pa, so I'm not usually the only Steelers fan in the league, the bias comes through quick for some of them.
But, since i'm in it to win, I'll draft anybody, who I think is a smart choice, I put all hate and bias aside. It just sucks when its a player I need to play well, when they are playing the Steelers.

I don't play fantasy anymore because it makes me have to sorta root for people I don't like but when I did I would always try and get our d and Ben as a backup. I would say AB is our best fantasy option now though isn't he? I was saying earlier this year that I would take Landry Jones as my starter. LOL.

This is exactly where I'm at. Brown and Bell are the only ones worth taking in earlier rounds other than that most everyone else (including Ben) can be had as a late round or FA pickup.

I've got Luck as my starter and Ben as my backup too. Suisham is my kicker and I've got Blount on my bench. Trying to make a trade for AB but so far the guy hasn't bitten on my offer (which is Marques Colston).

This is my first foray into fantasy football but I can see how it can be addictive.

I think Ben might have a big year, despite some questions about wr2. He is my starter in both of my leagues (rg3 and r.wilson are my backups in each league). I am a bit worried that Blount will take carries (esp. Goal line) away from bell, who is my rb1 in one league and rb2 in the other. AB is great, but he was gone early 2nd round in both my leagues. Everyone in my leagues lives in Oregon, so there is less Steeler bias here.

I've got brown but he's the only steeler on my team
    I don't think I could take
Big Ben over manning or bell over AP or any thing else silly like that
i think I have it figured out for fantasy football and real football if I had say aj green I root for him to have 250 rec yards and 4 tds but the
    steelers win 31-28

Bell flat out said, a few weeks ago, that Blount is gonna get the goal line carries. I'm curious to know exactly what he means by "goal line" though. I wonder if Blount is gonna get put in if we're on maybe the 5 or if he just strictly means the actual goal line itself. Based off that quote of Bell I've had people tell me they didn't draft him because they thought he wouldn't get many touchdowns.

From the time I have been watching NFL rewind ,it seems the Team considers GL as inside the 5 yard line and usually with a fresh set of downs. But, I got Blount on one card on Draft Kinks this week I hope he can vulture a TD or 2 for me. lol

Yeah it's worth a try. I just wonder if they truly consider Bell and "every down back" if we brought in Blount for the goal line. I'm not saying we shouldn't have a 1-2 punch. I'm just curious if they really think Bell would be good on the goal line. He looked good in Baltimore until he got drilled. Maybe that's what they're afraid of? So Blount is basically just a human sacrifice. LOL.

So I'm guessing Bell is a hot item now? A lot of people told me before the season they were "thinking" about taking him. I bet a LOT more people are thinking that now. Does any of the fantasy gurus here know if Bell was a starter in most leagues yesterday? A guy told me today that Ben "screwed" him in fantasy. Which is exactly why I don't like fantasy. In reality yesterday Ben was lights out and "vintage Ben".

Bell would be a starter in almost every league, every week.

I was curious about that. It was just that most of the people I talked to seemed to act like AB was the only Steeler option they cared about.

    I have several FF teams.
My rules: No Bungles, No Ratbirds, No Cheatriots, No Brownies, No Cowboys.

On one my teams, I use to start only Steelers players each week. Yesterday I got 95 points from them:

    Started Ben 17.4, Bell 25.7, Blount 6.6, Brown 17.6, Wheaton 9.7, Dri Archer 0.4 (RB/WR), H Miller 2.6, Suisham 12.0, and Steelers D 3.0.

I've got Lance Moore and Bryant on that team too.

That makes no sense to me. What's the point of playing if you're not even going to play seriously? A team with just Steelers is going to get smoked basically every week. You've also ruled out a top 2 TE in Gronk, and 2 of the top 5 WR's in Dez and AJ Green. I mean, what's the point?

I guess I take it more seriously than you, as does everyone in my league, because that wouldn't be tolerated in my league. We play to win.

I have played for three years. I draft all main steelers example ben, brown, bell, blount, heath, defense, wheaton, and suishum. I have randall cobb and victor cruz starting. I won my league last year with all steelers and won week one. I cant play any other way,lol

You won your league last year with all Steelers? I don't even know how that would be possible. I can get starting Ben, Bell and Brown, but after that, there would be no one else to start.

First of all, I said I have several teams. Only 1 of them (one) is made from only Steelers Players. Based on what criteria do you think I don't play to win?

I won this week, and last year I made it to the postseason with that team (after losing 4 games in regular season). In my leagues (which are regular NFL.com fantasy leagues, we don't play for money, we play for entertainment. And, to me, hoping one of my teams (one of several I have) that is made solely of Steelers can win a game based on performance is fun.

About my other rules, yes, I don't draft guys from those teams:
Thomas & Graham are at least as good as Gronk for Fantasy points, and they are not listed as questionable each week (even Davis from SF is a better option for me)
C Johnson, Julio Jones, C Patterson, A Brown and several others can compete with AJ Green or Dez, IMO, and that's what I use to draft.

The point is: I don't want a division rival to have a big game. And I don't like the Patriots or Cowboys. I play for fun, and I can still win without players from those teams.
