I can tell you when it wasn't played...back in 2010 when we spanked the Raiders. I remember as I'm from CT and have gone to many games with my buddy and decided to make the trip with my wife and 3 kids. They heard me talking about renegade for many years and kept waiting for it...but it never came. At least we saw the Raiders get spanked and Seymour hit Ben and get tossed.

Maybe Mr. Rooney deemed our current defense unworthy of a Renegade video.... OR ***conspiracy theory••• Goodell made Steelers get rid of the video because it glorifies big hits.

Man no Renegade opening day with the game on the line.... definitely curious?

Charlie Batch was actually pretty hot about this yesterday. He wanted people to call in and say if it bothered them. One person emailed them and said that she was really irritated that they didn't play it. I would have been too.

Well that was when our d made enough plays for us to have a video that can last through a timeout. LOL. Now I think when they play Renegade with the way we've been lately they MIGHT have enough plays to get through the drum and vocal intro. They should add Shazier's hit on the rb yesterday in the backfield. Also they should add AB's kick. LOL.

    No Renegade?!?!

That's... that's like going to a Jimmy Buffett concert and he doesn't play "A Pirate Looks at 40!"

Hey... wait. That actually happened to me last weekend. :|:frustrated:

Any idea on why they didn't play it? That's tradition!

Charlie couldn't figure it out either. He was wondering if there was a new guy in charge of the music or something. Also I would have never thought you were a Jimmy Buffet fan. LOL.

You must not read the "Bourbon" thread. I'm a rum and tequila aficionado. Not a big stretch. ;)

No I don't spend much time thinking of bourbon or other spirits for that matter. LOL. The only thing I know about bourbon is that it's J.R. Ewing's favorite drink. A "bourbon and branch". Whatever that is. I also gather from Dallas that maybe a bourbon is also a "brandy" or something?

Well, Reverend, that would be incorrect. If you were a Catholic Priest, you'd know the difference. ;) :roflmao: (raised Catholic. I've known many priests over the years. This joke is not far off the mark... nor is it intended to be religious)

(I know you work within a church. No idea if the title is appropriate or not. Said it as a winking nickname. I sincerely hope I didn't offend)

Bourbon is whiskey. Whiskey made from at least 51% corn and brewed in Kentucky.

But we have a thread dedicated to it (and other spirits) in the Watercooler sub-forum. Inspired by Myron's love for the stuff. :D

Well you learn something new every day. I bet YOU didn't know it was J.R.'s favorite! LOL! Also it doesn't offend me to be called that. I personally never list myself as that because as one of my dear buddies in the ministry said "I'm nothing to be reverenced". I tell all the people I pastor to just call me by my first name. Or they can call me BFT if they like. LOL.

When I went to opening day against the Seahawks a few years ago they didn't play it...Of course we won 24-0. When they came back from commercial in the fourth quarter the crowd was really into it, so I assumed they played Renegade. I CANT believe they didn't. We really needed that. The crowd was asleep for the entire third quarter (just like our players).

it's a new era in the NFL. we have to take a softer approach now. the playing of that song just fires those Pittsburgh players and fans up too much. we can't allow that. ban it.

    sincerely,

    Rodger Goodell

Sitting at the game (or should I say standing and screaming my N_ts off), I think the flow of the game was such that they had a hard time figuring out when to play it. It was noticeable however. They play it during a time out, whether called or TV time out like after a change of possession. They probably didn't figure out how to play it simultaneously of the now two screens at the stadium, that would be a lame excuse.

that's a load off my mind..... I was blaming myself for jinxing them.. I was at work and missed most of the first half, but the second I got home and started watching the 2nd half, we fall apart.....
glad to know it wasn't me
