It is no secret that Jack Lambert was a really private guy but today I was talking to someone who told me something that I'm just not sure about. He told me that Jack Lambert had a brother named "Turk" I believe who played basketball at UCLA for a couple of seasons. He said that Jack Lambert had lots of brothers. I've tried to look in to this for verification but I'm just not finding anything about it. Can anyone on here tell me if that's actually true or not?

Not sure the importance here, are you writing an essay ..novel or prepping for a game show? :lolol: J/K Blount good to see you back in the fold. I never heard the name Turk in relations to the Lambert's if i come across any info. i'll be sure to let you know!

Interesting question. I did some digging and it does seem that Lambert has an older brother who is/was a high school teacher in Santa Clara. Nothing noteworthy beyond that though.

LOL. I know that sounds like a totally random and off the wall question. But no I'm not writing an essay. HA! It's really more from a standpoint of "is the guy that told me that full of bologna?"

Funny thing, eating at Lamberts in Ozark, MO a few weeks ago (home of the throwed rolls!) and found out that the original Lamberts founder was Jack Lamberts cousin. Steeler lore and great food!

Well the guy that I was talking to told me that Jack owned a bunch of restaurants. Maybe that's what he was talking about? Is "Lambert's" a big chain or something? I've never heard of it here.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a stake in it. I only know of the 2, but they have been featured on different food channel shows and series. SteelerGlenn, you know of any other ones?

So here's the deal with this thread. I didn't want to say anything because this just SOUNDS so outlandish but this is what happened. A guy I work with recommended a really good mechanic to me that is MUCH cheaper than the dealer. It is hard to find mechanics for my car because most just refuse to work on them. So I went to this guy Friday and told him his buddy sent me that way and what was wrong with my car. So I had a Steelers flag flying from the window, a Steelers license plate cover, was wearing a Steelers shirt that outlines our Super Bowl history, and was wearing Steelers socks. So, obviously(as Tomlin would say) the guy must have deduced that I kiiiiinda like the Steelers. So he says "so you're a big Steelers fan huh?" and I told him that would be an understatement but he goes "so you probably know who Jack Lambert is right?" and I said "well he's on my shirt right here, I have his jersey, and a big picture of him in my gameroom" and he goes "well him and my dad are brothers". I started laughing and said "yeah right!" and he was really not joking. This guys last name IS Lambert and he showed me a pic of his dad on his phone and he DOES look like Jack. So he started telling me that he had another uncle that played ball at UCLA and he even knew that Jack went to Kent St and he knew that his toe ended his career. This guy is originally from the Cleveland area but moved here when he was younger. The thing is he told me that he would get me a signed Towel from him. I just was trying to see if the guy was full of crap or not. I REALLY hope he's not but at least my car will get fixed cheaply. LOL. So that is the reason for this thread. I was trying to lean on the sagely wisdom of my friends here to see if this guy is who he says he is. Sorta like a game of Clue or Guess Who or something. LOL.
