Been hearing that since the day he was drafted. I'll bet you have a fine set of excuses as to why he failed to produce here ... and I'll bet none of them are that he's an entitled slacker.

I definitely agree that Brown played his way to number one. But let's not go too far the other way about Sanders. He had issues with injuries and, as mac said, he played better in the slot than at number 2. He was never a bad receiver, though. I wouldn't say his work ethic was ever in question (they may not have focused on it, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything). He just wasn't going to work out here.

Oh no don't take it as me saying he had a poor work ethic just not on Brown's level

Sanders is not in the slot. He was signed to replace Decker on the outside. Welker is the slot WR. Or at least he is while he isn't suspended or concussed.

Maybe it's because Peyton is a better leader than Ben according to Sanders :lolol:. All I know is the Steelers re-signed the right player from the young money crew in AB.

Sanders never made the catches he needed to make to move the chains ... Ones that Hines Ward would have made.

it's the truth...... sanders was ahead of brown until the injury... that's no disrespect to brown.. he made the most of the opportunity and grabbed the bull by the horns....what's so hard to take about the truth.... it's really giving complements to both receivers.... i'm not sure how you took what I wrote and went in the direction that you did, but start reading the whole post and stop taking things out of context

I just think injury or not brown would have passed him. The way you say it to me came off as that was the only reason brown bear him out.

How did the Broncos add so many qualty, need players to their roster since the off season?
The bigger, always asked question, why not the Steelers?

I was thinking the exact thing, maybe they mortgaged the future for one more run?

Sanders, to me, was pretty fragile. I'm happy we have AB. I don't care at all that Manny is in Denver.

The Broncos had a bunch of cap space due to their highest paid lineman retiring and Manning only taking 15 million. Also Champ Baileys contract ran out. It really just lined up perfectly for them.

In two weeks, Denver plays in Seattle, we will see how great Peyton and Sanders play against that defense wearing ear plugs, it's going to be another slaughter for Denvers great offense....
