Ray McDonald

    Now that McDonald sits in jail for felony abuse, (on a pregnant woman.) Will Goodell really institute a 6 game suspension, or will he hem and haw about "seeing how the case plays out"? After all, the 9ers are favorites.

    He will get a 6 game suspension, because of the backlash from the light suspension of Ray Rice.

    He'll get more than 6 games. Or should. According to Heir Goodell himself, the punishments can be more severe if, "if there are aggravating circumstances such as the presence or use of a weapon, choking, repeated striking, or when the act is committed against a pregnant woman or in the presence of a child."

    Seems cut and dry to me. Suspend him for the whole year. Or do not pass Go and suspend him indefinitely.

    That's my question. Will Goodell do what he's threatened, or will he hold off and "see how the arrest plays out" because it's one of the 49ers?

    He may wait for the legal system to do its work. But I doubt he goes lenient. He can't afford to after the Ray Rice fiasco.

    Not very smart .... also, the 49ers are now down two DL's with this and Smith's suspension.

    I get the feeling that he'll get the same 9 game suspension that aldon smith got..... pressure's too great not to majorly lower the hammer
