To put things in perspective, here in San Diego, there'es a lot of talk about the last time the Chargers were undefeated in the pre-season. At the time, everyone was convinced that the team was actually going to win something meaningful! S.B. Baby! The F.O. made the right picks in the draft!
That was Ryan Leaf's first year.

The same mentality you have right now!! losing preseason doesn't matter agree, on paper it's not worth wiping ones a** I'm talking performance and performance result in wins, lets not lose perspective of that...this team struggled out the gate last yr. and missed the playoffs. I do not want to repeat .I'm not wearing glasses of color i'm talking reality! I'm not in panic mode after 1 loss so let's see how they handle the run~D of the Bills this weekend @Heinz.

No, thats your reality, in my reality, missing some key players had WAY more to do with starting poorly then preseason.

Back off Blast.. Why the hijack? the post wasn't directed to you but rather BURGH43STEL i already know your mentality and while i got you here, IMO you don't have the skills to rightfully wear the badge you were given here on The Steelers fan. Nothing personal just stating facts. ;)

    That's not a fact. :smiley1:

There's no need to get personal...let's try to stay on topic. The funniest thing about this thread is that it was created 20 minutes before the game was over. If Bryant hadn't fumbled, this thread would probably have been a sticky. :-D

You make it personal then say nothing personal. Interesting :hmmm:.

You are also posting in an open forum, if you want a personal message between you and burgh, PM him, pretty simple, otherwise expect people to interject their opinion.

And as TTF said, no personal attacks allowed.

I was going to call you out for trolling but refrained in my last post. That being said if you feel the post was a personal attack i would like to take this time to apologize. I was raised to be truthful and share our freedom of expression under amendment 1. I understand the forum has it own set of rules but thought the Blast man had bigger balls but instead whine like a beat down teenager holding onto TTF's shirtail. Again i apologize.. now lets share a drink and move on :drinks:

If it wasn't for the "badge" as you put it, youd see how big my balls are.

    Keep your phony apology.

And keep up the personal attacks, see where that lands you.

I don't get where the animosity is coming from, but it's time to get back to the topic and also staying inside the forum guidelines.

With a backhanded apology like that I doubt anyone's going to be sharing drinks, but moving on is the way to go.:lolol:

    rush toseven
    when the short kickoff happened
    at first I was like
omg we just gave this man an extension for fieldgoals and KO
then I figured hmm maybe it was on purpose to se the ST
not sure if that's the case ,but I damn sure would hope that they wanted to see something on a kickoff and not overpaid shortkicker and fieldgoal misser

I've seen a few threads lately where the poster or the thread gets put down from one or more of our forum members. It seems that there can be a better way of disagreeing without fostering an environment where people won't want to participate in the discussion at all?

I posted in another thread about a similar subject. I'm not one to believe in win and loses in preseason but I think Tomlin needs to talk about winning games instead of building and teaching. We know that's what it's about but I think we need to foster a winning environment with such a young team.

I don't care if the team wins or loses games in the preseason. I don't care much about player's preseason performances. This is due to the fact that the players are not consistently facing the best players that the other team has to offer. Most of the key players don't see much playing time. There is also very little game planning involved in preseason games. The established starters don't really care about preseason games. Many of the players that receive playing time in preseason games won't make it onto NFL rosters. I've witnessed a team finished 4-0 in the preseason and yet went on to lose every regular season game. At the end of the day, I don't know how anyone can predict how a team or individuals will perform in the regular season based off of preseason performances. There simply isn't enough quality information to pass judgement for good or bad.

I am sure the coaches want to win every game regardless of the circumstances of preseason games. The only thing I hope happens in the preseason is that the players remain relatively healthy.

Agree staying clean going into the opener is a priority i hear what your saying i suppose i put more stock into preseason than others. These next 3 games i hope the players take full advantage of the coaching available apply their skill sets..intensity..aggressivness and termination to win ..learning to win is mental..focus not on what you do wrong instead focus on what you do best what needs to get done and wins will come along with Championships. What the Pittsburgh Steelers are all about!

Winning is not a sometime thing it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
