Spence and shark had some good moments, D had good penetration on first series. O looked good first series. Very vanilla of course, but some good moments for a few bench players.

 

74 will get that experience to know when to get his hands up.

Understood. Still not impressed. It is the first preseason game. It is just hard to get excited.

 

Well, you know, throw a former NFL starter in therein the hurry-up against 4th stringers for the win.....

 

The good thing is he knows hie weakness's and can work on them. He siad if he get low enough he has success if his stance is too high then the linemen can get leverage on him. I hope next week he gets some more reps

 

When you want to see what players can do, why are cornerbacks playing 10 yards off in preseason?

 

Because that's what they'll be doing all year.

 

So their 3rd string QB is better than ours, I'll take our 1st string over theirs

 

It was pretty popular to make a lot of jokes about Batch and Leftwich a few seasons ago but I think we were pretty lucky to have two guys with their experience backing up Ben. Gradkowski and Jones just don't seem like they could win an NFL game. Say what you want about Batch and Leftwich but they at least started and won their share of games.

 

Jones looked like what he was, a decent big time college QB. Grad looked pathetic.

Unfortunately.That always drives me nuts.

 

After the start of this drive, I was going to say that it looks like Landry is starting to calm down and get into a groove. But then the threw the long ball to Bryant and had the miss to Moye over the middle. Situation has changed. Hopefully with this first down he can make a quick completion and get back into the groove to go the rest of the way.

 

Well for those who had a man crush on Jones and those who were accused of hating him, I think all doubt has been eliminated.

 

Manziel 6/14 92 yards and 6 runs for 27 yards. Not that bad for a debut.

 

Wow, didnt realize Laundry was that bad, inaccurate, whatever you wanna call it.

 

Lets be fair here too they aren't running a complex playbook tonight so it isn't exactly like either Jones or Grad are being put in a position to look like they can shoulder the load in a real game
