Wow the rooneys and Ben have talked contract

??? two years of contract left. 2014 and 2015. two years they could franchise him. 2016 and 2017. that's 4 more years if they do nothing. I know it won't come to that but that is what would most likely be worst case scenario if they can't come to an agreement.

 

sure just like san fran losing joe Montana. there is more of a chance at that age that ben will want to stay put.

as I said , he may be offered a two year deal at that point. at that stage he would be 37 going into 2018. sure there may be some takers but I doubt anything over two years. most teams won't want a 37-38 year old qb, to have to insert and build a team off of, so the ball would most likely swing back to favor the steelers at that point and ben would have made a lot of money. at that point ben would be mentoring his replacement.

 

This actually gets my vote. By 2018, I have my doubts as to his value. By 2018 we should have a replacement in position.
